i would switch to MH when you begin your flowering stage. MH lights have an enhanced red spectrum which helps boost flowering.
wow totally wrong my friend

MH = Blue Spectrum - best for vegging since thats the spec they take in the most during that stage

HPS = Red Spectrum - Best for flowering cause sane reason as above.

The only issue ive seen with using the HPS during the veg stage is they do kinda slow down in growing but once you switch to 12/12 they catch up

If you can get your hands on a conversion bulb or suttin then that would be great. I ended up doing that and saw that my plants enjoy that blue spectrum very much during their veg stage and did some serious growing

how long have you been vegging for?
how much longer do you plan on vegging?

Honestly it wont hurt to switch them your plants are still gonna enjoy that blue spectrum

Yea two weeks is two weeks. If I had it available Id switch but personally I dont bother with MH; I jus CFL it till theyre big enough to stretch. Kinda bootleg but it works for me.

this is my first grow, but i went MH for veg and ill be moving them over to hps in a couple more weeks. after i researched it, thats what i came up with.oh, my lights are 1000 watters.
now keep in mind, these were 5" tall clones in cubes when i transplanted them 7-27-08, these pics are when they are 2 weeks old. the pots they are in are 14" across, i think about 9 gal. i transplanted using OREGONISM XL , and have been feeding wth earthjuice 3 part. i think theyre doing pretty good. almost 3 weeks now and they're right at 16" tall and bushy.:bigjoint:

use the hand test, lower the light to the closest you can get without being too hot for your hand. if you're using a cooltube that should be about 8", more like 12 -16" without one.
