MG quick start in DIY bubble cloner?

Hey guys, I can't find any root stimulator for my bubblecloner, the closest thing i can find is MG quick start. Has any one already tried this? Currently I'm using 7 gallons of non-PHed tap water at 78F with a few drops of superthrive, 15ml per gallon of H2O2, and just a little schultz takeroot clone powder. I change my water every 7-10 days, but don't add any more cloning powder. My light is a 4-foot 2-bulb 40-watt T12 flouro with 6500K daylight bulbs about 3-4 inches above the tops for 18 hours a day. Any advice about MG quick start, or criticisms of my set-up are very welcome. Some cuttings have rooted in 7 days, and some take 4 weeks, and many have rotted before making it 4 weeks. Thanks.

try using water ph to 5.8 and use the h202, maybe add a small amount of b1 rooting hormone. Also if you have hard water that could be a issue. Oh yeah dont forget to get the chloramines out of the water by letting it set out for a day or so before using it.

chloramines will not dissipate from the water just siting out. You will need either vitamin C or aquarium water additives. Check with your local water treatment provider first to see if you actualy have chloramine in your water. If you only have chlorine than sitting it out will suffice.

You r better off going to home depoy and getting rootone

Those water temps are hot as hell for the plants. I barely like my room temps getting that high.
Get a wide range ph tester for aquariums if you need to go the cheap route. It's what I use and it reads from 5.0 - 9.0.
That light is good for seedlings/clones, I have one just like it I'm using right now. T12s are cool to the touch
so you can move them as close as you want without worry of heat stress. I actually had a couple plants grow
up in between the bulbs before I raised it up and it didn't bother them at all.
Never used the MG quick start so can't help you there, but I do use MG nutes and they work well for me.

I use Technaflora Root 66 and have had fabulous luck with it for all plants. Get the small bottle if your just small scale growing cause this stuff lasts forever.
