MG Organic Choice + Perlite? 30/70

Yes, i know MG Organic Choice soil is not the best. But it has worked with my previous plants. Ive been thinking, would adding Perlite to it do much at all?

I was thinking 30%-50% Perlite + 50%-70% Soil

From past personal experiences with the MG organic soil id microwave it first and then add 1:3 perlite to soil.. they have all kinds of pest eggs/larvae/etc in there just waiting for you to start growing. I just threw the bag out after a couple plants and drove the hour to the hydro store. Didn't wanna microwave it cus id kill the friendlies, but bugs suck ;p

Microwave the soil?
never heard of that one before. haha, Ill just keep a strong eye on my baby's.

I just bought a bag of MG Organic Choice....lot's of bugs in it. I'm praying the neem oil and pyrethrin insecticide work.
Next time, I'll be microwaving first. Plants do look good so far (14 days).
