Metal Halide Lights and Fixtures.

So a while ago, i bought a 150 watt metal halide bulb and stuck it into a regular light bulb socket. Obviously, it didn't work. Can someone help me with what I need to get it to work, like the right fixture and how to set it up. Please post pictures of these fixtures and where it is possible to get them. The price would be good too. Thanks.

Dude, to understand it all you need to do a little resarch.

The basic's are; Bulb, ballast to suit and reflector.

Have a look at hydro sites and see.

The thing is I have. Everywhere I go it talks about MD and HPS bulbs. Nothing about the stuff you just said.

Its not hard to solve the mystery, google, who does a hid light fixture work. the will tell you how.

All I see is for outdoor use and the ones on cars. Like the ones they sell at home depot. Can you share some info on where you got yours?
