Hey ive been researching a bit before i start my grow. I noticed that 400w metal halide bulbs are pretty cheap, about 25$ each. I was originally going to go with 2 42 watt cfls for $10each, but now im thinknig on changing my mind. I looked around but cant find any disadvantages with metal halide bulbs. Anyone got experience with them? Do they work good in small spaces? do they get hot? can you get them at your hardware store?
