CDLC on left. Grape Crush on right. Both are terpy as hell. CDLC has an old school pine and rubber smell/taste and this GC smells like peaches. This a first for me. Both are fantastic smoke.

Weird ass head high that's just anticlimatic. Completely let down after 100 days. Now I know why they say don;'t grow autoflower.
Doesn't have a real marijuana high it almost seems like. I learned my lesson after this. Never growing an autoflower of any kind.

Mine (autos) always seem to heavy hitting as hell. Still daily smoking and NO disappointment here. 18 zips went in jars a year ago.

I dont know how you ended up with that conclusion. I grew photos for years and ive only had 1 strain that was stronger than my Mephistos. There are only 2 genes that control autoflowering. Breeders like Meph and Daz have reduced the ruderalis connection to just those 2 genes. How long you been growing and smoking? Im 53 and ive been smoking since 15 and growing since 20. The buzz on mine are as good as i could ask for. They taste/smell great. Hey if you dont like em thats fine. Leaves more beans for me and 420Garden and s4cruiser. We like em just fine.

Same here. I dont know where somebody would get a,"not like marijuana buzz". Who knows? To each his own but i wouldnt trade mine for photos unless i started running clones or growing outside again. My friends dont even know what an autoflower is and they say my Mephistos are fantastic and they are all old heads with a high tolerance.

I'm 63 and smoke daily. Mephisto does a fantastic job. You can turn and burn these autos so quickly. Flavors, bag appeal, bud structure you name it they really do check all the boxes. I have been growing for decades, always grew photos until I started with Mephisto, Mendocino twenty20, Ethos. Makes it eazy to sample more strains at 1 time. Not saying that autos are for everyone but if you can't understand sprout to chop in less than 90 days, of very high quality flower then I don't know what to say. I have turned a lot of my friends and family on to the autos and they all seem to like em a lot. Potent as all get out.

I don't know man. When I was growing out these Mephistos they grew well. They looked pretty good to me.
This is my first grow. I grew in Fox Farms Happy Frog and Fox Farms Trio + Cal Mag. Used about 1/2 recommended dose. PH'ed water at 6.5. Flushed with water only for 3 weeks before chop and fed molasses on the last watering. Lights off for 2 days before chop.
I dried these buds for 2 weeks in another grow tent just for drying. 63% humidity just before trim. Granted I smoked before curing.
But I have to say. First of all there is this weird ass piny, floral smell to them. Not particularly appetizing and doesn't remind me of marijuana.
I've been smoking since 1992. Like a lot of old school folks I was spoiled with great 90's bud from Santa Cruz, Humboldt, kind bud, chronic, later on Piff in NYC. Even some of the commercial/cartel cest/schwag weed was better than the disposo weed we have now.
I think all the weed sold in dispensaries is basically mids at best. Never ran into any one hitter quitter like Super Skunk from Oakland in the last 20 years probably. Any kind bud I bought 20 years ago is better than any weed I smoked today for some reason.
To me all the weed nowadays is a far cry from the old school funk/dank/skunk/pine smells and stickiness they used to have.
To me the Mephistos because of the ruderalis genetics is like a half breed of marijuana. Like I said smells weird. Most importantly, it doesn't get me high. Just like a weird head high. Even disposo weed gets me high first thing in the morning. I smoked this double grape or grape crush or alien vs triangle first thing in the morning today and I"m like "this is whack".

I don't know partner, I grow 100% organic. Water only for the 1 month. Topdress with fresh soil. Do the brewed teas once a month. 5 gallon bags. Now when I mix my soil I add 1 cup garden lime. 1 cup blood meal, 1 cup bone meal. I also use Fox Farm Ocean Forest and mix all this in together using a baby pool and large bag ffof. That's it. I haven't used a bottle for a plant in a long time. I figure all the people I smoke with can't be wrong. People love to party at my place. But you do you. If your all about 18 weeks of growth or 26 weeks (sativas) growth. Knock it out. But for me? I love autos. 1 last thing. If you really disappointed with your run. Mail it to me and I'll check it out and get back to ya.

This is your first grow which just happened to be autos. Try growing some ilgm or crop king photos and then come back and tell me autos are weak. Dude i smoked all the kind bud years ago too and i agree that its way different now. Used to be there were distinct and powerful differences between strains and good growers bred the best tasting best high plants instead of now where most just breed for max thc ..cough ..fast buds. cough lol. Now all strains are basically poly-hybrids. Dont any of em have the smell and flavor they used too. But i have grown photos in the past 5 years. Really good photos. Only 1 was better than my best autos. Its down to phenos now more than photo/auto. You cant compare anything new to 20 years ago. Most of the raw stinky terps were bred out because of stealth grows and kids that want their weed to smell like cotton candy. Try growing some photos. Youll see the ,"difference from 20 years ago" aint limited to autos. Now everything is fruit,cookis and candy. I like the fruit tho. Good luck with your hunt! If you want something more classical maybe try CSI HUMBOLDT. He breeds some old school strains. I dont know if Sensi seeds still is any good. Their NL#5×Haze or Sensi Skunk used to be great. Been 20+ years ago for me so now who knows..Hate your flower dont do it. Mine rocks all my buddies. All old school heads that do dabs usually. CDLC is so loud i cant even smoke it outside. Anyways like I said. Good luck!

Please people. I just want to get high again like the old times. Even take me back just 10 years ago when Cali dispensary weed was limited to just medical marijuana clinics. When weed had quality control.
I just want to be able to get high again like the old days. Trying the dispensaries (Catalyst in Long Beach) I have to resort to smoking the best flower (has been Royal Key Gardens) + have to add concentrate on top of the flower to get high anymore (like Punch Extracts butter).
I grew these damn Mephistos after some research because so many people seem to praise them. Wrong.
So I did further research. I bought more seeds this time photoperiod. Black Sugar Rose (Delicious Seeds), Slurricane #7 (Inhouse Genetics), Blueberry Cheese (Barney's Farm). I planted 9 seeds in an incubator and only 2 popped after 6 days and the ones that did pop are acting retarded anyway.
Got really excited when I found out that Piff weed from Washington Heights/Spanish Harlem/NYC exists. Ordered a pack of midnight mass from Piff Coast Farms. It's been 9 days since ordering and venmoing $150 and they haven't even replied with a sent shipment order. Don't know if I will ever get seeds from them.
It's just too damn frigging hard to get a hold of good marijuana these days. LIke WHAT. THE. FUCK. What happened to the weed????
Almost thought about giving up smoke like Snoop Dogg did recently. This is just too hard.

I literally have not smoked a joint,bowl,bong whatever, with anyone i know that has not thought it was kick ass weed. Are there some photos out there that may have a few tics more delta 9? Sure. But ive not grown any Mephistos that were not excellent. Im glad i dont have OP's problem. BTW, yeah, ive had to hang strong air fresheners on the chain between my screen door and the solid one so it doesnt reek when sonebody steps on my front porch lol. Its a small price to pay.

Yes I have pictures. These pics were taken during the grow about 1 week before harvest and yesterday after trim and jarring. These are double grape, grapewalker kush, grape crush, alien vs triangle. I didn't bother separating the weed strains because I tried them all and didn't favor one over the other. Man if I didn't know any better I swear this looks like good weed.

I don't know if it's because these have not been cured yet and only dried for 2 weeks, but the smell is an unappetizing pine floral scent. Not the good pine floral humboldt smell we are thinking of here (like Kind bud).
