Mellokitty's Mellow Medigrow

apologies in advance for the spotty photodocumentation - i must remember to take more pictures. it just *feels *weird*.... you know? it's been a long, hard, build. code compliance is a pain in the butt. good thing my man loves me.the girls finally had to come home from being babysat - they are a bit more out-of-control than we had hoped for but circumstances dictate in this case; must be grateful to have gotten them this far. finishing the build around these girls wasn't exactly ideal either but you gotta roll with the punches, right? we try to think of the first run in a room as a test anyway. thank goodness we had those badboys to throw them under for now.

can somebody tell me the difference between posting this here and the 'journal' in my profile?

and is it considered bad mojo to link one to the other instead of updating them both all the time?

What happens to that tiny kitty when you turn on the light? So confuse... that would be no mellow kitty!

subbed for sure. Nice setup, I'm mildly jealous.

he sleeps inside the filament; he is The Guardian against bad juju.... seriously though: he's pissed off right now because he's been locked out of the downstairs now that the girls have come home.

That's one hell of a setup you have there, very nice.:leaf::clap::leaf:
aw, shucks. i really have to give the credit to my overworked man though. and it is going to look sharp when it's done. legal is a whole new ballgame. (i'm a bit jealous of rose fanciers, bonsai-ists, orchid growers etc. etc: it's like a whole new world just opened up....)
just so you know, i'm seriously interested in this composting thing and don't know anything beyond chucking lawn trimmings and kitchen waste in a corner and maybe sometimes sprinkling some em liquid on it.... so i'll be picking your brain.

Well tell him he's doing an awesome job and I'll help with what I can, still fairly new to the growing scene myself but have been farming for a while.

excellent. i think you're just what we need. we've both been growing since our teens but we're just cutting our teeth on actual living SOIL soil.
we've both run the gamut of soilless + liquid ferts; i've actually pound for pound grown more hydro (but that's the nature of the beast, especially when you're just "the help") (<-more like "the slave"), but i looooove dirt and soilless. i love all of its obvious imperfections and i actually revel in getting dirty.
right now we're experimenting with manure + soilless -- one step at a time. i'm hoping by the time i'm ready to brew some 'supersoil' maybe my compost'll be ready. (pleasepleaseplease)

It's slow now...but in a few weeks those things are going to be growing you out of house and home.
hey CG, i'm thinking of starting a 'i love last-minute repetitive tasks' thread - are you in? lol
*tell me about it.... the girls are mid-transplant and i can hardly type... and they haven't even flipped yet....

very nice...r u gonna keep ur lights vertical? no reflectors?...nice set up though...
thanks, hubby hasn't used reflectors in the time we've known each other, and i did away with my cooltubes when we moved in together.
i did most of my labouring in peoples' rooms that "donkey-dicked" (<-technical term btw lol) their lights so i'm used to the parts that need getting used to - it's surprisingly popular.

cg is it okay if i link to your 'vertical lights' thread that i met you in?

thank you moma!
i looooooove dirt. we're transitioning/experimenting from soilless to actual living, breathing, soil right now and i have never done so much chemistry in my life (including the years i spent on hydro).
