Hey bro when I started using this system I only watered once a day then every 12 hours then after she was in full veg/flower once every once every 6 hours and kept it that every 3 hours seemed to much to me plants like to dry out and let the oxygen get to the roots :) each to there own
Backed it off to every 6 hours as they had decentish roots already. If they still look soggy I'll go 8 then 12 until it's right. Hopefully they perk up now!

Also, on the growing out to the rings part, the rings have got 90* bends on each outlet so that I can shoot the water in towards the plant.

my first grow and my first ever post what do you all think so far 15th day of flowering
Hey @cowboyferg that plant looks like she is very healthy. How long did you beg her for before switching to 12/12?

Got some decent looking bud sites coming to show now! And yes, she looks to be doing fairly well for 15 days. You shouldn't really expect a huge change in the first week or two from the switch. Normally the plant kicks into overdrive around 3.5-4 weeks and that when you see it swell for the first time.

If you haven't tried it, go about 4-5 days between watering and allow the roots to soak up some O2 and if you are feeding your plant synthetic nutes regularly, make sure you flush you plant with ph'd water every week or two (flush and then feed straight after) it helps remove any build up nutes that the plant isn't using as they can stop the plant up taking what it does need.

Is this grow a 1 off you you? Or do you plan on growing again? Might be worth starting up a thread/journal if you are! I'll be sure to drop in!

One thing that I do need to say though, especially if you're new to this. Watch what ends up in the background of your pictures! Try and keep them confined to your grow tent! Haha.. That way no one knows more than they need to. Thanks for popping along!

ah first right on about the pictures that never crossed my mind was excited to take pictures to post lol.I pretty much let her dry up 5-7 days before I water unforunatly I used mg potting mix from the start but honestly I haven't had to many probs so far with mg oh I used mg all purpose 30-10-10 mg also when she was in veg im using jacks classic 10-30-20 now 3ml cal mag 1/4 tsp unsulfer4ed malasses and just recently sumespoma organic garden lime my run off ph dropped really low.. she was in veg for like 8 or 9 weeks id say..and this is my first grow I always wanted to...im addicted now lol ill be growing for personal use and a hobby to try and get the very best that I can grow!!! quick question for ya I noticed I was getting sum leaves clawing downward is it bad or is it me being paroniod?

That's 'the claw' give her some fluids and you'll see her come out of it soon enough. But yea. Clawing is bad and if you don't sort it out quickly, you could burn your leaves (transpiring helps keep them cool and no water = low to no transpiration) Leaf tips bending down = too dry. Haha.. Flush and feed bro!

Glad you're hooked same as me! Haha.. There is something about the plant hey. It's just so beautiful and really does suck you in!

I'd do a flush on her and if you can, test the run off now. @DirtyNerd posted a great chart for pH levels the other day. I'll see if I can find it for you.

8-9 weeks is pretty decent. What lighting are you/were you using?

when I first planted the seed it started out under a good o llamb with a normal bulb as she grew I moved her to a closest with white wall under cfls I cant remember wat lums ect but I had enough for the space and stuff then moved her to a tent 2x2x51/2 with a 250 watt mh she was in the tent for like 2 weeks before I flipped the switch oh on my last feeding my run off dipped really low so today I feed was good and dry and was time lol I bought sum Espoma organic garden lime I worked the top 2 inches or so of the soil in with 5tbs of the lime im growing in a 5 gallon bucket im hoping it helps stabilize

I can't see any issues with small amounts of slow release man. But I haven't really done any research into it either. I can only guess that too much would just lock out other stuff like a salt build up?

A ph pen is a must! And don't forget your calibration kit aswell! And try to avoid the cheap ones also. I went through 4 $10 ones before I bought a $30 one and it's already lasted longer than all the others combined! Haha

Hey guys. Been some major swings in the real world this last week. The headband and critical came down about 2 days ago and the super silver went to a mate. Had to cut most of my stuff out. Still running the 600w perlite system, but only on 9 hours light so it'll end up being flower from clone pretty much. Unfortunately all out of necessity. All the other plants are just hiding outside now haha.. Pretty devastating but at least I haven't lost any plants. Just their potential!
