I recently got 2 packs of 3, Mekong Haze seeds from Delta 9 seed company. To say the least don't waste your money on this strain, it is not for beginners and is hard to grow if your able to get the seeds to germinate. I was unable to germinate any of the 6 seeds inside of my humidity dome, and i have read of similar results with these seeds. If anyone else has had different results with this strain please post and let me know of your results.

nope... that's my experience too. not one of mine popped. i was really psyched to try it based on cannabible's description of it as "one of the trippies strains in the world". i only bought it because afropip's malawi gold was sold out months before i learned of his passing. he had some righteous IBL gear!

+REP for trying to grow a trippy IBL. you can't find anything like that on the streets anymore.

if you want strains that ARE doable indoors, these are my top 3 favorites so far:
haze skunk (high quality seeds) a little slow & stretchy, but NOTHING like highland thai and it's wicked potent... even moreso than REAL columbian gold, though maybe not as visual, but more euphoric & motivational. it's the best thing i've smoked after gold so far
super cali haze (short stuff) oh man! awesome buzz just like real haze with a delicious grape flavor. totally worth lower yields for a top to bottom exotic strain like this! here's to hoping more breeders start preserving what's left of IBLs with lowryders that don't crap on the THC profile or odor like afhghanicrap does. a lowryding tutti fruity thai would kick much ass!
8 miles high (mandala) is very indoor friendly and the closest thing to a cash cropping IBL i've tried so far. it was the first REAL high i'd had sonce the mid 80s. i loved the totally couchlock & racy free buzz that was 100% energy neutral. HS is motivational, but even at 12.%, the afghani in it gives you lead eye. 8 miles just has a playful euphoric buzz that loves music & dancing. i ended up doing the robot on it and almost felt like one as it seemed to heighten muscularcontrol, or maybe that was just it's psychoactivity. it hit all of the right buttons with NOTHING to complain about. it wasjn't devastatingly potent like HS, but was in no way shabby either. i was to busy having fun after just 2 hits to build a stronger buzz... very noob friendly as far as sativas go and it literally is a 24/7 strain that won't put you to sleep like so many hybrids, but won't keep you up either like original kali mist or joey weed's extinct C99

holy shit I thought it was just me! Out of 4 of the Mekong Haze, zero have germinated. I've tried a few different methods now and nothing. Actually makes me feel better to know it's the damn strain.

that makes it a 3x no go strain.

it fucking sucks that IBLs are the worst ripoffs! i got nothing out of my pack of vancover island seedbank burmese too and got a PM heads up that seedsman's malawi gold was pure schwag too.

if you want an alternative to mekong haze, check out sannies' killing fields. i saw some here calling it "talk to your dog trippy".

i know too that sativa seeds' highland thai full moon has all of the fussy traits of the IBL along with the delicious exotic tutti fruity flavor and a member here confirmed that it is indeed trippy. i got very stony leaf & early bud trim when i had to cut my unhappy hermie down, but loved that tutti fruity smell i got when i panfried everything for a speed drying.

you really need a well lit outdoor spot and lots of soil to grow an IBL. my full moons got rootbound twice and were probably light starved too. now i know first hand why you shouldn't try to grow trees indoors

I bought a 10 pack about 5 months ago, so far I have tried to pop 6 only 1 has even sprouted a tail after soaking in water + superthrive for a day, keeping on a warm surface for 2, and then manually cracking the shell. That tail showed 2 days ago and it has hardly grown since.

I've had problems with another breeders S E Asian seeds, I think it's just in the genetics, as is hermieing in Thai weed.
