I just wanted to share with the rollitup family.

I am not sure why people poop on these cheap Chinese lights.

I have 20 days ish left and the results of this light is amaaaaazing.

If I were a betting man I would bet that the end dry yield will be .8grams per watt.

They do grow really good bud, not many people shit on them for that. They shit on them because they are driven really hard, the efficiency isn't really much better than hid lighting, because they are driven so hard that reliability and heat becomes more of an issue than cobs, strips, or qbs, and the reliability of the lights are bad and they only usually last a few grows. You can build a light from qbs, strips, or cobs for not much more than you'd pay for those lights. The light you build will last a he'll of a lot longer.

Yea I hear that. But in my 2x2.5x7'11" it's honestly always 78f inside the tent with the light on. So I have to disagree on it creating too much heat.

I do hope it last alteast 2 years.

I was looking at getting the timber 2vl cob for my tent.

I was wondering if 200w is enough for a 2x2.5 tent.

I'm using some Vander lights, inexpensive but seem to work just fine. Like you I have a small grow and am running a 225 and a 140 wall watts lights for 5 plants. I'm five weeks from seed and my plants are 16-18 inches tall and bushy as hell. Temp control is real easy with these LEDs.
I get a lot of shit from the "Experts" who whine about Chinese Burples but I just don't have to money to invest in "Top Shelf" lights so I will just smoke what I grow anyway.

Its more than enough. 120-140 watts is enough if you're in the 2.5 uMol/J efficiency range.

If you do some reading up on led gardner.com you could build you a "top shelf" light for about the same price as the cheap leds. Maybe just a little more. You could build a 150w light for around $150 with bridgelux or samsung strip lights.

I concur:
5 of the 22" single row strips - $75 (free shipping from Arrow)
1 LRS-150-24 power supply - $17 (Free shipping from Arrow)
5 Heatsink USA .601 sinks - $9 plus shipping
4 feet of aluminum angle to hold it together - less than $10 at any hardware store.

not much more than a C-note....

I just got a ~140 wall watt light for less than $60 and didn't have to build it. I thought about strips but I've built enough electronics in my life, I'd rather grow dope. :bigjoint:

I had meizhi 600r n was good but after 1year half the LEDs went out. Light was good until then.forget customer service I had to pay $20 to and they sent me some blue diodes but I needed a new driver, ugh. On to try bloomspect 600 as replacement, anybody have experience with the bloomspect?

lemme understand. You have been unhappy with the life span of your chinese light and you're going to get another chinese light?
Seems legit.

The thing is, the light grows dope. You merely get to point it in the right direction .

Um different brands, was hoping to get lucky. There has to be some quality or at least okay lights coming from china n someone somewhere haha I guess just a crap shoot like pheno hunting, most the time crap but "so you saying, there's still a chance" one in a million stuff haha

Um different brands, different company. Only similarity is they both made in china. Surely a quality light can be found among them, maybe lol. My other mr600 media hi is still working, it's my veg light.

I have a 140w from the wall too.
Those are labeled as 1000w.
Because of their led diodes wattage and not actuall electricity flowing trough.

The reason people give those lights shit is because they aren't good quality lights. You are hitting numbers people hit with HPS lights and probably have slightly less quality due to the lack of proper light spectrum. Yes they can grow weed but that doesn't mean they excel at it.

I dont see why people are offended by led growers. Primary led goals are the most important and so obvious. Its clear that led wins every time for a personal grow.
1. Way less heat
2. Way lower bills
With cobs even 90% efficiency and way more. All these things atract loooot of customers and 80% of them cant give out 500-600 dollars for one expensive light.
Leds pay of by any means. Cheap or not.
I dont see why so many growers refuse to addmit leds are simply the best.
