I do not recommend using Mega Crop in any type of hydro. It is great in soil, but it has too many organic components that will feed bad bacteria/algae and allow them to grow like crazy in hydro.

I highly recommend Jacks 321 hydro formula. It is cheaper than Mega Crop and has zero organic ingredients.

For PH, you want it between about 5.5 and 6.

You also want your nute strength to stay the same as much as possible, so its better to toss the rez and start over every week or so or as needed. If you need to top off - make sure the EC/PPM stays the same by adding more nutes as needed.

As far as mixing strength - let your plants tell you how much they need. When starting seedlings, keep it low - no more than 200 PPM over what ever your water starts at. As they grow, watch the color. If they look pale, increase PPM's. If they look too dark or burned, decrease PPM's. There is no single perfect value for every grow.

I only top off with premixed nute water. No mixing new on top of old.

You should be fine with the MC 2part. It's a virtual copy of Jacks 5-12-26, with a micro pinch of extra chit added.

Epsom may be needed depending on your mix and grow.

I keep Mg about half of Ca until later flower. (I use Jacks because I get it local)

Mega Crop 2 part contains "plant sourced" amino acids. Jacks is pure minerals. True, the 2 part is better than the original, but still has organic ingredients, so I cant recomend it.
Think the megacrop 2 part will work fine in coco or promix?

Nothing wrong with soy isolate IMO. I have not much to complain about running Mega Crop 2 part in Aero. It's a little dirtier than Jacks but Jacks is also not accessible in EU. MC is also a little cheaper.

It works for me, I run a "sterile" system.

Yes, it's a complete plant food with added amino acids. But Mega Crop one part is pretty solid in soil and Coir, then you also get some added kelp and COS(chitosan oligosaccharide).

I got an email from them saying that they are changing the formula for the 2-part and that it will be out by the end of May. Hopefully somebody can post some info on it. I'm wary because I like it the way that it is currently.

just got some of the new 2part formula, so far so good after 16 days in 8gal dwc. ph is mostly stable and slowly drifts up over the course of 5-7 days. i ph back down 5.7/5.8 and let it rise until 6.3/6.4. i am also running bennies in the res. it still doesnt dissolve completely, like 99%, but i did notice some particles after 24hrs of trying to get it to dissolve. not a big deal for me since im a single res running bennies+compost teas.
