Medium and Water Insight for Design

I have a few questions I am hoping you can assist me with or at least point me in a direction for some education. My specific questions are denoted by ***

To set the stage. I am currently operating with 5K watts and plan to expand to having 20K. I plan to be maxed out at 20K with a yield of ~50 plants every two weeks. I will have a Clone/mother room, veg room, 4 flowering rooms--all running Flood/drain tables and the entire op set up so I can do 4 days on and 4 days off. I have opted for flood/drain as I see it as the most hands off, easiest to maintain PH levels for a few days away, easy enough for me to set up, it fits the budget and is somewhat forgiving.

Medium
- I investigated with rockwool and clay pellets and liked this set up that came recommended via some uTube vids. I have ran into the issue of lack of mobility of plants. I have mite issues and need to spray them regularly so I need them potted so they can move and be removed easily from their tray, sprayed/trimmed, and put back. Mobility is crucial for me.

Before I did the rockwool thing I put plants into small pots (1 gallon or less) in sunshine 4 and just did flood/drain on their table 3x daily with the odd top watering every few days. These plants turned out fine, although 5% did have the roots come out of the pots and go everywhere. This system was mobile, low maintenance and forgiving so I want to go back to a similar system.

***what are your thoughts on flood/drain for soilless in pots like I have described? I am sure their are some cons. What medium would you recommend? What is best if I want mobility, low maintenance and forgiving? ***

I am planning to use promix and go straight from clone to a 1 gallon, 2 week veg, 8-9 week flower. One pot for life on a flood/drain in each stage watered 3x daily with the odd manual top watering. This will give me mobility and is low maintenance

*** Any thoughts on my medium choice or things I should be cautious of? The above makes sense to me, but what issues am I likely to face? ***

Water
Water has been a huge issue for me. My tap water is very hard (1100 PPM), although readily available. I have been toting in RO water by the 5gal which is expensive, risk to security and a pain in the ass. This temp solution will not do me when I have 20K watts and is barely sustainable at 5K.

**** does anyone know of a good RO filter? What do you think I should do? Assuming I have a super small budget. ***

Any insight at all on all/any of these questions would be much much appreciated.

a full house reverse osmosis is the best house filtration available...little pricey, but will end up paying for itself in the long run...as for a grow medium i would suggest getting hydroton, holds water well and is readily available at local grow store. I have little experience growing so you may want to double check my answers, however I do believe my answers are right...
