i would rather have the protection of the lic so you are in the right instead of begging forgiveness and relying on our outdated laws...but that's me.
i also know a guy who was busted and had his pinks. he got his stuff back and was still a hassle. luckily he knew enough about the law that he didn't need to hire a LLB.
he even told the cops about the injunction and they didn't believe him so when he went before the judge, the cops got schooled

I see your point gb.....if you're dying what difference does it make...you may be dead by the time you get to court....and if you make it to court and tell a judge you're terminal....I'm not dying.

This stinks of a bait and switch stall attic. HC has no intention of this program ever getting off the ground, it is just to please the courts by the deadline. Come April we will go,through this all over again. i am one of the lucky ones, I will stay Pink until the injunction is lifted.

YOu have to be caught doing it all wrong though...which is kinda out in left field......

People seem to forget the treatment part ...:?

It aint about gettin high for some...and if that's what they want it for...good for them!!!

Agreed. Encouraging others to break the law and grow what they wan't isn't good advice. I can't see any judge dropping a case because gb123 said so.

I get the feeling the board isn't moderated very well. Guys like GB and Hippy should't be the primary posters in the medical section, it makes the rest of us look bad.

I'm not against anyone here. I'd just like to see a different approach.

legal matters??? what legal matters are you referring to ?
Im talking about growing your own meds and treating your own illness if you are sick in canada
and that you have that right set in the constitution to do so.

what part did I miss again? (:

where do we have the right constitutionally? that idea was tried in the Mernaugh case and it lost. we just don't have that right that i know of.
we have a right to access but not to anything we want.
if that's the case we can treat ourselves, i heard opium was a great pain reliever. i can grow opium poppies for medicine.
it will take another case to prove we don't need the Dr.'s as the gatekeepers.
GB I want you to be right very much but it just isn't that easy. we're not there yet

My two cents; A court has ruled that sick people have the right to access cannabis. Another court ruled that access includes the right to grow. I have a right to autonomy in treating my body, as confirmed in multiple courts in cases involving religion, culture, women's rights, etc. I don't think there's a judge out there that will convict a patient for treating themselves. If they can prove diversion, it's a whole different story.

but according to your argument, we have the right to treat ourselves when it's not the case. i should be able to have whatever i want then. you & I believe cannabis is not harmful but if you bring someone into the conversation that is against it they will tell us of the horrors.
yes we won access and to grow but that's if you're licensed.
please look at the Mernaugh case. it says we HAVE to go through the gatekeepers to have access. no where did it say "grow what you want"
I don't want to back and forth on this anymore. you have your beliefs and i hope you don't have to go through the courts to prove your point. it will be a hassle and a lot of expenses. i prefer to have the license so I don't have to go through that

court is where it has to be in order to do so....
we have the right to grow
we have the right to make meds and treat ourselves accordingly.

where do our rights not exist in your case?

its just TOO simple which is why everyone is looking to make it difficult when its not.
