figured id drop in, and say hello, and thanks for all the contributions... all of the grow journals, and grow room construction posts are really helping me form my plans for a cost effective grow room. recently have achieved patient and caregiver status here in michigan, and can't wait to provide some quality med's for a close family friend. all in all i believe all of my concerns and questions have been addressed, until i get everything sorted out. i should be piecing it together, and starting a journal sometime in the next couple months, would be sooner, but im heading out of town for a bit... so far what i think im going to set up is:
400w air cooled hps
4 plant (possible multi-strains)
hempy bucket (auto-watering)
not sure on medium yet
not sure on nutes
DIY carbon filter (smell control isn't hugely important as i am legit, just dont want it to be a nuisance for my g.f)
DIY CO2 generation when necessary
2x4x5 mylar tent
plan on venting exhaust through attic and outside
i plan on possibly keeping 2 mothers, but im not too sure as the space constraints could be an issue... my girlfriend is very pro-medical, although she does not smoke... however, if i take over too many closets for this she will get pissy about it... one question i did have was about my hempy reservoir, if i were to place this outside of the tent and pipe my water in from it, would there be an issue in shocking the plants due to temp difference... for example if it was 80 degrees or so in tent, and only 70-72 degrees temp in resevoir?
