I've heard (not sure if it's true or not) that cultivating in a home with weapons is automatically a felony (or is it federal?) charge.

I'm not in a legal state yet, but when I move to one can I keep my guns? They are strictly for self defense of my family. I'm want them by my side more if I had a legal grow op since I would be a possible target if anyone found out.

P.S. I'm not asking for a debate on gun control. Please don't turn it into one

I dont want to go into loads of details here but I am pro guns aswell, This will greatly depend on your states specific mmj laws and more importantly the officer you deal with on a specific incident.

If you are in a state where marijuana is legal IF IT IS PRESCRIBED BY A DR it is NOT considered a narcotic or ILLEGAL DRUG to possess and consume (obviously in that state and not federally)

If oxycontin (percocet, vicodin, ect) is also legal to posses or consume IF IT IS PRESCRIBED BY A DR it is NOT considered a narcotic or ILLEGAL DRUG.

Firearms and ILLEGAL NARCOTICS are what you really need to be carefull with.

This is a very fine line/grey area and will really depend on your aray of wepons+mmj/grow. REMEMBER- If your legally alowed X amount of plants OR X amount for your supply. Simply having one more plant or one gram over your legal possable limit NOW BECOMES AN ILLEGAL NARCOTIC.

I have talked to a few lawers, police officers, random law obiding citizens, mmj patients, my authorizing dr and others on this matter. There is no answer set in stone.

In closing, continue to be a law obiding citizen and you shoulndt have a problem
