anyone here trained in any discaplines?
I boxed many years ago but I still keep up with the training,I just dont fight in the ring no more. And I fought a marine before lol,he tried to stab me after I cracked him in the mouth a couple times lol.I took the fuck off from that.
A fight with a drunk, bleeding marine with a knife isn't a good situation to put yourself in.

One thing I cant stand is when people try and slam me lol,I hate that wrestling shit.

Yea I figured there'd be a few of these.
Sorry dude, you can tag me as a "few of these" but nothings far from the truth. I`ll best shut up and you guys discuss how you beat those fuckers up. Thats the way it works and I can`t argue! :)

Who in here enjoys a good fight?
I noticed a lot of pacifists around here, and that's cool or whatever, sometimes.
But who likes to get in a good fist fight every now and then? I know I do.
The only way to solve a problem sometimes is to fight. Me and one of my friends for instance. I slept with his girlfriend in high school but before tht were like best friends. We ended up falling out for a few years. Our friends would try and mediate a truce, but we were never happy. Finally I challenge him to a fight, and after kicking the shit out of each other, were best friends again.
i want to fight but only if we friend fight.. friend fighting is when i kick ur ass and we are still friends afterwards..LOL

Hung Gar kung fu for 30 years. I snapped a guys humerus in high school and haven't been in a fight since.
Even though the douchebag had it coming, I felt terrible. I'll only fight now if I can't talk my way out or walk away.

That's what I'm talking about!
Something guys like you tenner wont understand.
Don't you know what is best in life?
To crush your enemies.
To see them driven before you.
and to hear the lamentation of the women.

I can sure feel your ego from here!

"I'm the guy with the personality that just says please kick my ass (to alpha males, jocks, military guys, those types). I'm 6'2 270pds. A big dude, but I carry it well so I really look like 240-250. So as soon as step into a bar/party, people just want to kick my ass! I don't fucking understand it."

Also, And for some reason she got me to shadow box her.

Give things some more thought and maybe you will understand... :)

It's a reference from the movie Conan the Barbarian....
"Conan. What is best in life?
To crush your enemies.
To see them driven before you,
and to hear the lamentation of the women."

You really thought those were my thoughts? I'm honored.
You don't understand ten, the people I like to fight with, do it for fun, not cause they're mad.
We're always cool afterwards ("real" fights aren't as fun, especially when you lose, or you have to go to the hospital).
I'm talking more about slap boxing with a group of your friends. What is so wrong with that?

You guys are so lucky to get into random little fights in bars and such now and then. I'm little over 2.1m tall, that's 6'10" in imperial. No one ever wants to fight me lol, I'm in my thirties when I was younger I was a cage fighter, black belt in muay thai and akido. I miss a good fight, still got the build though. However, the six pack is fading under a layer of fat :-(
Man I HATE fighting people that are properly trained. I got a friend that's an instructor at United Studios of Self Defense, that generic Karate school in America. I used to love to spar him when he was just starting. One day, I realized he was getting better than me. Once while we were sparring, he got me to the ground somehow and while I was getting up he roundhouse kicked me in the fucking forehead. I didn't fall, but after that I wasn't so gung ho about sparring anymore lol.

By that I meant I all I have to is act natural and people wanna fight me. I'm not saying that I'm a hyper-aggressive type, where anyone would understand why I get my ass kicked. I'm more of a nerd, that was lucky enough to be born big.

As much as I've tried, I've never been in a fight in my life. People tend to like me.
No matter how likable you are, somebody doesn't like you. Just how it works. Somebody probably doesn't like you because everybody else does. If you've never been in a fight then you've probably avoided them. I have a friend who has never fought, just talks shit to people until they are raging, then he leaves. I declare him the victor. I agree fighting is fun, but a little too risky nowadays. Too many people like doc with a gun.

Those days are behind me, the old bones just don't take it well anymore. But it was fun when I was 17, 18 years old.
It seemed like every party something happened. I was a wrestler so it came in real handy, once you took out the legs, boxers did not stand a chance.
Then after it was over we would laugh and drink some more beer, till next time.
Stupid drunk kids, fighting over silly reasoning, how fun it was.

Envy is an easily understood emotion. I don't avoid fights, but I don't go looking for them. I'm too collected to take the first swing, and to date, everyone has been afraid to take a swing at me.

You learn a lot about yourself after you've been in a few and especially the ones you lose.

Just reminising, when I was in college I felt bulletproof, after the bar closed got in a scuffle outside.

Being the wrestler I shot in for a double leg take down, the guy seen it and came with a low undercut.

Next thing I remember was waking up in the car, blood everywhere. I was not so bulletproof feeling after that.

Life lesson #126

You sound like a lot of my friends. Not that they're intimidating, but just in that you stay cool and collected. I try, but am not good at it. Once I feel the adrenaline going, I have trouble talking quietly and raise my voice to argue. I'm working on that though. I admire the people who can keep their cool. Maybe it'll come with age.

One of my best friends comes out of the marines one day a few years ago so we decide to get everyone together and go out. He going on an on about the training and how great it was and all that, getting more and more drunk by the hour. We sing songs, talk about women, drive..., play pool at the bar, drinks some more, sing some more. By the time we get, we love eachother, were the best friends any of us has ever had, guy's making drunken calls to ex-girlfriends. It's about 3 in the morning and the only people left are the single guys. About 5 of us. One of us (me...) has the great idea to slap box. So it's me against marine guy. We get in the middle of the street and square up. Out of nowhere he starts hitting with closed fists, right in temples. I get dazed and step back a little. I'm like wtf, but I don't say anything lol. So I let hit hit me a few more times, letting the top of my head take the brunt of the blows. I'm looking for my opening because even though hes hitting me, it doesn't hurt, and he's being sloppy. Letting his other hand drop when he throws a punch. So finally he throws a left that I simply dodge and BAM! Hard jab right his fucking nose. Before he could even react, blood was running from his face like a faucet. I found out the next day that I broke his nose. It was a pretty sweet win for me cause I only hit him once and he was done.
The next day my mom got pissed because he hit me so hard in the temples that both of my eyes were black. My mom said he could have killed me from hitting me in the temple, but I'm not sure about that.
