Wow.. not sure why I didn't jump on your grow sooner. Awesome stuff here, MS. I'm seriously inspired by your LST, man.

~ER~

DAY 19 OF 12/12.

Thanks to all for the comments :-) She is a vigorous grower thats for sure. SICC, I try hard to keep all those tops as level as possible, most of the bulbs are restingdirectly on the glass shield and I can keep those tops literally within an inch or so of the glass with no heat issues.... the airflow set up takes care of that for me. The fan at top left in the pic is nota PC fan, its a solid metal 240volt fan bought at Hemp Expo about 4 years back, it pushes alot of air through those bulbs and cool air is blown in by the intake fan directly below it. The exhaust fan is mostly above the shield too and all warm air is pumped straight out that end. The glass remains cool to the touch :-)

Couple of pics of the set up, shes got 350 watts to herself now. You can see the pistil development in last couple of days.

reps bro. is this your first time with mazar? "delia" is looking real good.
Thanks louch :-) 'Delia'is second generation Mazar, the mother plant was a feminised seedplant from seedsman. This strain has surprised me, its nicely balanced, not raging THC high but balanced cannabinoid stone you know? I'm going to work with it for a while. Taste is very good too and that is important to me :-)

SICC: hello my friend :-) We're at exactly 3 weeks of 12/12 today and for 21 days I'm happy with that pistil development. Looking back at 'Aggie' the mother I'd say 'Delia' is ahead of her this stage.

So, pics at 21 days 12/12. You can see those stems are about 12" tall each now, staying pretty level under those CFL's :-) I have just about another 6" of height max available to me, should be OK now! If they get taller I'll just bend em over a bit

Thanks SICC and JS, I must check your threads again :-)

Thats not a good visual image tam, Delia Smith naked!!!:o My mrs named her as she loves cooking and shes been a fan for over a decade ....... Trinny and Susannah are my names however, make of that what you will :-) something to do with hitting middle age and the over forties women suddenly start to look more attractive

Had a measure up last night and I only have about 5" to play with (Ooh err missus) I may have to bend Delia's tops over, I'll see.

ER, how you doing? I count 6 main strong tops around the outside plus another 5 tops spread around the centre, given her size so far I had 2oz in my mind as a target :-) Lets see how she goes. As to veg, well when she went in the big pot she was a 6" clone, she then had 2 weeks of 18/6 under 200 watts and just exploded. But by then she was in fact 8 weeks from cutting, I had kept her very small, almost dormant under 40watts of light at 18/6 but my theory is that she still matured genetically? The main stem is like a thick shrub stem now and the 6 main shoots are thick with alternating nodes.

****************************************
Gave her a good watering this am, 1ml bio grow, 2 ml bio bloom (per litre) PH 6.4, also added a blob of molasses. Took about 1.5 litres for slight run off again.

Trinny and susannah the 2 cuttings are out of their domes and sitting under the big lights today for the first time, both are rooted. I'll give them a few hours before placing them back then gradually extend that each day now to harden them off.

I've never seen any ties or clips on your plants and yet your canopy is so flat I could cook an omlette on it!
How on earth do you do that ms?

Hi V12 :-)

I do use lots of LST, but I use black wool so its more disguised :-) This time I'm using a big 12 litre pot with a 12" circumference so its easier to pull down I'm finding. The canopy is lifting now of course as buds begin to form and I had been considering pulling them all down one last time, but I'd rather just leave it now if I can.

More pics at day 23 of 12/12, mother plant was harvested at 9 weeks (63 days) so plenty to go yet.

The 2 clones 'Trinny' & 'Susannah' are being gradually hardened off now by placing in the flower box for several hours each day. I hope to have ready to begin flower in about 3/4 weeks time.

(Please remove large images if quoting, cheers :-) ).

Well, it had to be done! After taking the above pics I looked at my cabinet and measured just 4" more height left to play with. More LST was going to be the only answer.

Those of you who have been with me for the plast few threads will remember my simple wooden "extension frame' that allows the tops to be pulled right back over again, and allows me to train to the shape of my cabinet :-) So here it is once again, pics show the frame in place, and the plant before and after more LST.DONT pull too hard, thats the key, very gently, further and further down, then tie them loosely. Once you have done all of the tops you can go back and adjust them all to the dame height.

So why do this?

1. Lack of height, only 4" left between bud tops and the glass screen.

2. Shes stretched slightly and some of the lower buds were almost 6" below the glass.

3, By pulling them all right down to a level canopy again all of the centre buds can be developed and opened up to light. When using CFL's this is the key because they won penetrate a canopy like HPS.

4. The end result is that all of the spread of budsights are just 1 to 2" below my glass screen again, bearing in mind that 350 watts of CFL's are resting mostly directly on that glass :-)

5. Of course, all of the 'lower' buds that were along the stems will turn upwards and the overall effect is kind of like a SCROG effect:-)

Hope the photos show this. Give her 48 hrs to re orientate herself and i'll do more pics to illustrate.

(PLease remove large images if quoting, just keps the thread tidy ! :-) Thanks)

WOW. Can't wait to see her in 48hrs let alone 5 wks. There is just seriously going to be bud EVERYWHERE!!

True that man, LST is a beautiful thing :weed:

I need to do something like that MS, i like how you have that rod that sticks thru so you can tie the tops down a lil further out from the actual pot, something im gonna try next round ;)
Keep up the good work, im always watching and learning
