Hi I have an afghani freebie from herbies that I kept put in vegg for 4 weeks from sprout,
I trimmed or took off all the side shoots so it basically looked like a palm tree with only growth on the main stem. DSC_0089.JPG
Then I put it into the flowering room for another four weeks and kept doing the same by removing any extra growth sort of like how it look I the top picture. (This pic is for my second attempt with same strain but different pheno), when the true flower fully developed at week four I DSC_0073.JPG (not actual picture just as an example) re-veggd it again for another five weeks or so until the retarded growth was back to normal basically when a monster crop is ready to go into the flowering room. I would advice LST training for the plant but never did while in her second vegg period. Currently I have afghani at week 6 of flower tomorrow. DSC_0075.JPG it was slow at flowering the second time but the results are pritty good because I never was successful at cloning apart from my beginners luck and never happened for me again. And for this low yield strain you sort of get more out of it. The buds are not huge because in not much of a nutrients person I mainly use molasses and honey through flowering and works fine for me. Tho I do know of one person who has bigger buds than me and was more successful. It takes allot of time but the advantages are bigger root mass, bigger main stem and shoots stems, no cloning involved and nodes are shorter than a clone monster crop. Please ask as much I will answer as best as I can. I am a noob and this is my fourth grow and doing it again. and open for ideas or thoughts
