May first plant and its weird cocoon

I was triming off a few colas to start drying, most of them are just in time. It was early in the morning, not much sunlight yet, and then I saw this. I thought it was a flower (I was sleepy) but now that Im looking at the pics, I think it might be a cocoon.

I knew I had thrips at some point. And there's some wild fauna nearby (live close to big parks). But damn!

Im very excited, its my first plant, first crop, first time grower. And it looks goooode! Some pics of the harvest too. What do you think?

Cheers everybody!

Thanks guys! Im very proud myself. I remember it being just a tiny grass on a pot, and now's the same size of me. But not for long ;)

Im about to cut her down now. Happy harvesting everybody!

UPDATE!!

Struggling with ugly pests recently, I've discovered that that old cocoon-like bug I had last year, was actually one big MEALY BUG! Nasty bugs, I've had a few tiny ones this year...

Actually the pest closely resembles a "Scale insect". Unsure of which one as there are well over 700 different ones but this one looks like a female in the crawler stage. Simply remove by hand if it is only a few.

Cool, man. Thanks! So scale insect it is. But they resemble the mealy bugs right? Im not sure.

I've been cleaning one of my plants from a tiny infestation of this ugly guys, not as big as the one in the first pic, tho.
