I've grown full organic, teas only before, and I've grown with just Maxsea as well. The past two years (this year will be my 3rd year) I did/doing the 1/2 + 1/2 thing. I get great results using this technique. I use ONLY Maxsea 16-16-16 from July 1st to the 3rd week in August. I start the Maxsea 3-20-20 the last week of Aug, some later (depending on strain).

@treemansbuds how long would you personally recommend to flush before harvest using only maxsea? 2 to 4 weeks?
I water 15-20 gallons every day per 200 gallon Smart Pot now. So if I didn't add extra water that's about 175 gallons in 10 days (17.5 a day average). The last feeding was always a tea weather it's was a full Maxsea grow, or a 50/50 grow, or all teas 10-15 days before harvest. Then regular watering's until that last week. Seven days before harvest a HEAVY flooding for 3 days to the Smart Pot, then no water until harvest.
