Maxi Grow and MaxiBloom?

I know you didn't ask me the question.......I've been using only MaxiBloom for many years with great success.
Awesome. I'm planning on using it in 5 gallon dwc. If I add cal mag with it (my tap water has low ppm) what should the ratios be? I know 7 grams /gallon of maxibloom is what's called for.

I use Grow and Bloom. I was adding CalMag during grow as I am using it in coco. I did a hydro, changed the fluid every two weeks, no issues. Agree with mixing in a cup of warm water, Bloom dissolves well, Grow seems to have some things (don't really want to call them particle) that are stubborn. I just stir for a minute or two and then add to a gal. I use one tablespoon, it says you can use two. I use it every day and don't bother to get runoff. I may be able to get better results caring more (or maybe not) but I have enough other things to do in life. It is simple and works foe me.

Old post, but curious to know if you're still using this formula?
yes, I am still using GH Maxibloom but I don't bother with the Maxigrow anymore.

I use 7 grams per 4 litres and about 5 ml of calmag (it depends on your water as to how much calmag is required)

My previous grow...I tried these fancy nutes and was not impressed, so I'm back to the basic Lucas formula.....very simple and cheap

The Maxibloom has changed up their formula (it's a bright red now like koolaid), the old stuff took more effort to mix

I use an old food blender to mix up the powder.....use hot water and blast it for about 10 second, then it's perfectly mixed

Hmmm- I wonder why they did a color change ? Make it difficult or impossible to properly test the pH for those that use the GH pH colored vial test.

no idea why they changed it twice in the last few years but i actually like the newest formula

no problem testing with pH drops, as the amount of liquid you test with is not enough to impact the test colour

the pic show the original of the left and the second generation on the right.

THX for that - I have used the Bloom on and off for years. Can you say KISS ? Giving Megacrop a whirl this time around.

It really depends on personal preference. I prefer to only LST by using a screen to spread out the canopy. It keeps veg time short and allows good use of my light.

Scrog can really been done with any grow style. it can be fancy with a well designed screen or can be strings pulled across your tent.
I'm not an expert on dwc but your probably going to want some kind of pump you can drop in the bucket to drain each one. pump it down, pour fresh water in, pump it down and then replenish the res with water.
Or get some kind of transfer pump which works like a siphon.
Here's a picture of my scrog which I just used strings tied on the corner posts

Are you using 7 grams per liter from start to finish? Which week do you start the nutrients at?
