"max 40w"

I have this rather old (80's i would guess) armature for a e27 CFL bulb, it says "max 40w" on a sticker. Would it be dangerous to use a 45w CLF in it? It's made in some kind of metal so the armature itself should be safe, i'm not sure if there's a difference in the electronics?

I guess when this was made it was more meant for the old lightbulbs (whatever they are called again, that were common in the 70,80's), who gets a lot hotter than CFL's..
