They look pretty awful dude,sorry.
Please dont think im hating on you but you havent provided them with enough light or nutes imo and they have stretched far to much and become whats known as stringy.
It also looks like they have not had a fan on them to strengthen them at all.

If your looking for advice mine would be make sure that you have what ever lights you are using a lot nearer to the top of your plants and feed them with a proper set of nutes:blsmoke:

hmm... no worries i'm not expecting perfection just this first time... I've been using foxfarm nutes grow big for veg and flowering nutes now...I've got three fans on them virtually all the time...I have a 1000w hps on a light mover about 6-18inchs over them... and i water them every 2-4 days... WHat can i do to make them better while in the last 6 weeks of flowering?

have you always had a 1000 on them or is that new, because if you veged with a 1000 it should be alot better than they are............maybe those are some super sativa pheno?

well it has always been a 1000W but i used and MH during veg. and i had 5 sturdy plants which i used primarily for clones.. Once i got the clones to root i went immediately into flowering( some are small some larger) the largest and healthiest haven't gone into flower yet. I do see your point as the mother's stem is like eight times thicker than the average plant in the main group. Still just wondering if i should leave everything as is and continue a watering schedule or if i should do anything special for them in the last 6 weeks of flowering(12 for the 1/3 which haven't flowered yet!)

Well to be honest then i havent a clue.
You have the best nutes and lights and fans on them yet they are still all effed up and stringy and stretched.

You say this is your first time growing so all i can think of left is that either it is just your lack of experience, chlorine in your water, bad air supply to the plants not enough drainage or that you have to many plants in the area and for only one lamp.

I would be seriously pissed if that came up for me with a 1000 watt lamp,i only ever use a 400watt and that seem fine to me.bongsmilie

ya ok- well thanks for the frankness. during most of the veg cycle i let the water sit for a couple days before using it. Currently i am using a filter and watering same day... I keep the door to the room open most all days and have a fan blowing air out through the window. I have read of other ppl having this many plants under 1000W light.. what do you mean about drainage?

I would do some serious LST on them because they are going to grow alot in flower escically since they are a sativa, your going to have like 7ft tall string beans. next grow get some good seeds from attitude seed bank and you will have 2 pounds with your setup. here was my grow under a 1000

OK so HPS light is more orange than white and the light in those pics is definitely white. Are you certain that you have HPS light? Also the amount of light coming out of that hood doesn't look like it'd be close to a 1000W MH bulb either. Are you trying to pull one over on us? Even the mothers look stretched and very thin. Looks like a flouro set up stuffed in a HID fixture to me.
