Mataro Blue

The breeder says 7-8 weeks......... I gave her a full 8 weeks and chopped a few bubs for samples. I must say I am very disappointed. made me a little sleepy and hungry after about 10 mins of nothing. I have 2/3 the plant left flowering and wonder if I should just trash it and move on. anyone have any info on this strain? it was 2% amber and 80% cloudy. Yes, a little early but should still be a decent stone............ is 10 more days really going to make that much difference?

Give it 10 more days and tell us if it was better- idk what you are wanting us to say but your response wont get you much love on here calling us names and then wanting help.

your getting me worried now ive got a few going 2weeks in veg they even smell , the medician mans white rhino that i used to run used to smell while she was in veg where the buds pretty solid and where using hps lighting.was the breeder kannabia.

you probably chopped too early mofo. I did a freebee of these and got a beautiful blue moonshine phenol with massive trichs that tasted similar to blue cheese but nicer. I bought a pack and never saw that phenol again, they were all afghan dom can't really remember the high but I don't remember it being rubbish.let them ripen properly

The 1s i grew came out killer...people still ask for that blue weed.

thanks for the replies fellas. Sorry if I was a jerk, was a little drunk when posting never a good combo. Anyway, will be chopping the rest later this week waiting for more amber trichs hopefully the rest turn out much better. Either way I think I will buy another pack and give it another go sometime in the next year.

Ill be growing out that strain soon after I move. Would love to see some pics if possible

Why would you buy another pack of something so disappointing? Makes zero sense.

There's a cat on RIU....can't recall the name atm....that championed Mataro Blue seemingly all last year - even after he posted that his amigos asked for everything but....that made just as much sense to me.

I grew it and I personally know the breeder Pato formerly of Kannabia, who is not with them anymore. He uses his special Afghani to breed with that his uncle in the military got from Afghanistan. When I grew it it was short and skunky, decent sugar smooth hashy tasting smoke. I didn`t get the blue in that garden too warm so I will do it again here (nice climate) to get the blue hues. I will try it again soon enough since I got the beans still and it did win the 2011 Treating Yourself Expo Indica Category so there is promise there of a winner. I can grow anything great in this here garden so it will be at least a limited release for the market to start and something fun to grow. Thanks for the input guys and the inspiration to give it a second run.

I wouldn't mind getting ahold of him.I had his address but i'm not sure if I have it any more.I sent him some beans to play with about a yr or so ago..Girl Scout Cookies Afghooie some old 80s skunk #1 x Afghani maybe some OGs ect...We were e mailin on kannabias sight but they didnt like it and xed that lol.

If you have Pato`s home address send him a letter. I have his phone number somewhere on an old phone of mine or something I will have to look it up. I was expecting to see him at Spannabis this year but I didn`t make it.
I don`t think Kannabia will help you to locate him since they parted on bad terms I believe. Great to hear you are sharing beans. That is the way to do it brother. Keep spreading the herb.

@green med He wasn't liking it at kannabia they were taking advantage of the breeders & he wanted to leave.At the time seed depot was going strong and me and my friend classic of classic seeds were gonna help set him up to sell his own seeds but he stayed w kannabia and I got busy and nothing ever came of it.I haven't talked to him since then.

I hope things are going better and he is doing well...he is a very nice guy.

One day Pato will be back on the seed scene.
