Mars Hydro II 1600 LED Full Spectrum Mystery Seed Grow

Started little late, but wtf. Better late than never. Plus, I thought I'd share how the Mars Hydro II 1600 does in flower. Just got it few weeks back and started the plants week 1 under it.

I have a total of 3 seeds in found in my medical cannibas from the dispensary. Funny cuz cultivating never ever crossed my mind till I had that one seed in my hand. Googled the hell outta "how to germinate cannibas seeds" and the rest is history...

The first single seed I found, I followed Nugbuckets "mainline tutorial. Here she is to date (week 2 in flower).

The other two plants were from 2 other seeds I found in another batch I got. They didn't look too hot in veg so I didn't do shit to them, just let em grow. They actually look decent in flower.

They're in canna coco/Perlite 50/50. Using all Canna Nutes. Water ph 5.8,ppm usually around 750 rt now. Plants r fine using less than recommended...the mainline plant is in a 3-gallon smart pot. The other two r in 1 gallon smart pot, I know I shldve transplanted but I didn't think they were even gonna make it. My Temps rub stable between 70-80 nightime /daytime and rh around 45%.

Well, I lollipoped the bottom tonite, we'll see how this Mars Hydro 1600 LED does. The actually draw is about 705 from my outlet. I plan to flower a full 8 weeks as of rt now, I have officially 6 more weeks to go.

Oh, I'm running a Perpetual Harvest. I have 2 4x4 grow tents, one for veg one for harvest. I have a Mars Hydro II 900 VEG Only Spectrum in my veg tent. Looks like I'll prob need supplemental lighting in there

I have hps an thinking of changing to led so will be watching how you get on with these

Yea, this in my first grow. I've heard so many stories between HID and LED. I have the Mars Hydro II 1600 at 18 inches above my canopy now. Don't see any signs of stress. I will lower to 16, then 14" according to how the plants respond. Just tryin to find the sweet spot.

One thing for sure with this LED no heat issues whatsoever. I'm in so cal. First day of flower, it was 92F outside, Temps in tent with lights on stayed at 78-80. I only have a 4" carbon filter and fan exhausting air out and an oscillating fan in the tent. Makes the grow setup alot easier

Nice set up u have fellow Cali grower! the girls look happy.that mainlining looks spot on, awesome job I will also be watching and considering switching from hid to led, does that mars II 1600 distribute the light well in your 4x4?happy growing!

Hey sierrane, yea Mars Hydro says the 1600 covers 4.2x4.2 @ 24" from canopy. The led light actually only draws about 700 watts from the wall. But I have a plant in the corner of my 4x4 tent and fan leaves are looking healthy and seems to be doing well. So far I like wat I see.

However, seems like growth of flowers r slow n kinda on small side... But I think it's cuz the seed I grew this plant from may hve bad genetics.. I found the seed.

But she's starting week 3, so we'll see. Where in California r u?

BTW, u currently have the light 14" from canopy. No signs of stress whatsoever. May move it to 12"and see wat happens

Nice. Good info. I've been researching that light, price is decent compared to other brands that are as powerful, or will cover that much area. My hid ballast is super noisy along with the ventilation fan, and the power bill. Probably going to end up ordering that one in the near future. I'm in the foothills bout a half hr from Yosemite. Gota love Cali

Wut up bmweater! Yea, it's pretty bright,, full spectrum with both grow and bloom switches. We'll see how it does...

I use an Illumitex Neo-Sol DS - it's a 1 to 1 replacement for HPS.

Nice frosty buds widowmaker, nice job! I see ur led is red spectrum only or did u turn off the "grow" switch and flower with just reds for last week cuz those fuckers look ready!

"Sir Sly" YouTube video taught me how to hang a 16" wall mount oscillating fan in my 4x4 grow tent in 10 minutes. I'll take some closeups when I get a chance, but it's super easy and works awesome, fully adjustable!

It is FULL SPECTRUM - RED/BLUE and all in-between yee! Those in the pic from above still need another 3 weeks. Here is our Purple Rain @ week 6 with 2 more weeks to go still :

Sweet! How many watts is ur light and wat distance do u have them from ur canopy?

Mystery seed grow update. She's in week 4 in flower. Have her only on canna nutes (a&b, rhizo, cannazyme, boost, pk13/14).

I determined she's a sativa dominant hybrid. Since that's wat I usually medicate with, that's prob wat I got at the dispensary where I found this seed.

Also, I've been researching bud formation and I noticed these buds are small, dense and frickin frosty. Seems typical of sativa strains. Plus the fan leaves look more sativa.

Here's some pics... So far, pretty happy with the Mars Hydro II 1600. Imma flower her for prob another 4 weeks. We'll see how it goes.

Week 7: Day 4. So I gotta say, considering I found this seed, "Mainlining" technique, Canna Coco, Canna Nutes and Mars Hydro 1600.... Pretty decent.

Final pot size was a 3 gallon smart pot. It's a Sativa dominant hybrid so the buds aren't as fat n thick, but those fuckers r heavy. Imma have to get some plant yoyos for the center stems, they fallin over.

The sugar leaves and buds r loaded with trichromes. For the price tag of the Mars Hydro II 1600, it's not a bad deal at all. We'll see how the light holds up... But not too shabby so far.
