somthing cheap like nirvana or sannies just get a better one stay away from the longer flowering ones or like evilwitch said. but my favoite place for cheap seeds is the mr. nice auction you get over 20 seeds per pack and you get them way cheaper then the seedbanks sell them for you don't pay extra for shipping either just send cash for the price of whatever you win. I'd stay away from the haze hybrids for your first time probally get Shit its basically the same as skunk#1 and you should get it for about $30 US possibly less and I got 22 seeds in the pack I got of it.https://www.mrnice.nl/auctions/browse.php?id=198

The first strains I ever ran where Pure Power Plant and White Widow. They are both easy to grow and fairly forgiving of mistakes. The seeds are fairly cheap. I got both from Nirvana. I pulled more off those two strains than just about anything I have run since ( beginers luck I guess ) But for learning purposes, just about anything will do, just don't get to carried away and try too do too much at once. I tend to agree with what was said befor, stay away from the Hazes and other long flowering strains as they take longer.

More than seeds selection, education is the best tool in your grow room. Read everything you can get your hands on. This is a good site for learning as just about every problem has been encountered at one time or another.

Strain selection is always about personal choice, as it effects different people differently. Just choose something that you smoked befor and found to be what you like.

Just my 2 cents worth.

northern lights has to be the easiest strain to grow. would go with that or something crossed with it.

Any Afgani or Hindu Kush! They are almost drought resistant and IMO very manageable I would say a mostly indica plant with an 8 week flower time. Dont get caught up in the hype about hazes yet and KISS (keep it simple st***d). Best luck and any of the Hindu's of Gani's offer very strong genetics and should please any new grower. Save the "exotics" until you get the routine down and are ready for more of a challenge IMO.

I'd avoid bag seed first time bc u don't know what strain you have. I have always found it very helpful to go to grow journals here and other sites including YouTube to sde how thr plant should look.
"Something is right/wrong bc my week six does/doesn't come close to looking like other people's week six.
Also, harvest is easier bc you can go observe how other people's "sour diesel" looked when it was ready.
A common newbie mistake is harvesting unripe buds. Going by a schedule helps for guidelines of when to look to harvest but observing your plant is the best indicator for harvest.
Also, unless you know that the seed u have is from one strain other problems result, too.
Indicas tend to be shorter and bushier. Sativas are taller w thinner leaves. It is difficult to determine what works or not when plants are expressing a variety of physical traits.

nirvanas "aurora indica". mine i just smoked, as it was new for me. a knockout! easy, needs no support, stays a good size, easy to grow, and preety good producer.it allso is a fast finisher, at 8.5 weeks. i have the purp pheno. lucky me. its as potent, or more so, than my bc god, which everyone loves... and, that would be a nice one to start with as well. from bc bud depot.

Northern lights x's, Hindu Kush and Green Crak were all really good recommendations because they are all very easy to grow, yield a lot and have all the potency you want from a first time grow.
If you aren't feeling any of those, I have a few to throw in:
XXX Skunk or Skunkage - pretty much any Skunk #1 hybrid should be very stable, easy to grow and yield well - the Skunkage cross I like cuz the Sage adds flavor and potency while the Skunk cuts the stretch and flower down and makes the buds look nicer by adding color and chunk to them. These both run well outdoors as well.
White Russian or AK-47 - The WR I would have ran first cuz it was everything mentioned above but has a very intoxicating aroma to it that will make you satisfied after putting in all that work. The Widow adds a sweet creamy kinda flavor and that long lasting aspect to the buzz as well. The AK is just really stable, doesnt stretch too much, yields well with decent potency and breeds really well especially to run outdoors.
There are some other good beginner strains from sensi too like early skunk, durban, shiva skunk..
