Sweet....glad everyone is having fun commenting on this thread.I like that vidman....wake-n'bake,funny shit.First thing I do when I wake is big bowl, lol.I think I'll stick to molasses for most of my girls, but will try maple on one anyway.I'd like to try for a unique taste....something out of the ordinary. If anyone has any good suggestions I'm willing to experiment on another girl of mine.I love experimenting with girls.....hehe,that sounds a little crippy, lol.

Very interesting thread, I was just going out to get my molasses today, after reading I was wondering if anyone heard of sugar in the raw being used .. its a granular sugar processed from pure cane and has a brown tint.
My thoughts on Wake-N-Bake....Nothing I enjoy better is fresh cup of coffee and a big bowl while reading current posts in the morning...gets my thoughts going for the day and Im new on this forum so have lots to Wake-N-Bake to for a while.....

i use tubinado raw cane sugar. $2.99 for a 1 1/2 lb bag at the health food store. contains- organic evaporated cane juice. that's it.

package says it's made by squezzing out the cane juice and then heating to crystalize. done.

good stuff been using it for years.

sugar in the raw would be great, it's totally unrefined and it's brown because the molasses has not been removed, there is some fertilizers that come out of hawaii that have raw cane sugar as one of the main inedients...I know some one who has used raw sugar with great results...:joint:

more info on cane sugar

Natural brown sugar is a name for raw sugar which is a brown sugar produced from the first crystallisation of cane. Raw sugar is more commonly used, then further processed white sugar. As such "natural brown sugar" is free of additional dyes and chemicals. There is a higher level of inclusion of molasses than brown sugar giving it a higher mineral content. Some instances of natural brown sugars have particular names and characteristics and are sold as such: eg demerara or muskova

the darker it is the more molasses it has in it, from 3.5% to as high as 10%

So I am in maple syrup country, so I can replace the molassess with real syrup, can we cut all the fan leaves off???? Does it make the final product have the syrup taste?????....does it still increase the size of the buds????:peace:

I've used maple syrup many times, don't use more just use the same amount maby even a little less, molasses doesn't contain more sugar, maple syrup is almost 100% sugar except for b vitamins and some nutrients, also you need to use 100% real maple syrup 100% natural grade A , I recomend a brand called Spring Tree......:joint:

Also real maple syrup isn't cheap.:blsmoke:

Yes you can use maple syrup as a sub.No I would never cut the fan leaves off a plant, I never take any fan leaves off my plant, I let the girls choose if they want to drop them or not then I clean them up when they fall to the soil.Yes you will still get bigger buds even using regular refined table sugar has been reported to increase harvest by 20%......:joint:

maple syrup also supplies alot of b vitamins and...

Maple syrup contains about 67% solids of which about 89% is sucrose; the remainder is primarily fructose and glucose, with traces of other sugars. Maple syrup is produced by heat, with no added ingredients, and must reach 66 °Bx (degrees brix) in order to legally be "pure maple syrup". It possesses some nutritional value, containing calcium (greater than milk, by volume), potassium (more than bananas, by weight), manganese, magnesium, phosphorous, iron, and thiamin. It also contains traces of vitamins B2, B5, B6, riboflavin, biotin and folic acid, and many amino acids and phenolic compounds.A serving that includes 50 ml of maple syrup contains the following reccommended daily allowances: Calcium 6%, Iron 5%, Manganese 2%, Thiamin 6%, Riboflavin 2%.

see all the calcium it supplies and potassium and also phosphorus, you know that's good for your buds, calcium makes buds dense and you know about phosphorus and potassium....also it has folic acid which is a chelating ingredient..... Maple syrup is packed with some good stuff if you ask me....

This thread helps me out because, being from VT, maple syrup is always around and I have a friend that makes it at his property (our maples are actually getting big enough to tap, might make our own this spring!). i would never use that aunt jemima stuff though, not on my pancakes and definitely not on my plants. like anything made by a big corporation, you don't know what the hell they stuff in there, or how... Let's hope some of that unique maple flavor comes through in the dank. will post and share how iti goes.
