So far its been working awesome on mites/thrips although you have to spray it at least twice per week for a while. Its a contact killer so the leaves should be covered pretty good with it. It will not affect the leaves although light any liquid it will discolour/burn the hairs if sprayed heavily.
Can be used pretty much to the end although personally I'd stop two weeks before hand just to wash off any residue.
