Practice makes perfect so they say.... Just run those scissors horizontal to the bud... You know.. there are curved scissors out there and I love them... Look on youtube.. there are some terimming tutorials...

Im using curved ones I just need to get the feel for it. soooooo tedious
I've always found myself getting pretty smashed off-of bud trimmings :) Don't waste any trichomes! :)

Really, you can get away with just trimming most the bigger leaves and all the fan leaves. Any leaves that have trichomes on em can be left on the bud.

I don't know why people hate that trim leaf so much they chop it all off actually. It contains the same glands that're all over the flowers, so why not just leave it there, I say :)

Just do a section at a time. You don't HAVE to trim the leaves off RIGHT NOW, so pace yourself. Do it an hour, then go watch a dvd or whatever, then come back do it another hour.. etc,,.. You'd probably end up with more potent buds if you didn't trim ANY leaves off, and let the plant slowly shut-down like it would naturally. All those leaves will allow the plant to squeeze that tiny last bit out of it'self before drying completely.

Be oodles more difficult to trim a completely dry plant, but you know what I mean. Just trim some, break, trim some, break.

That's what I've been trying to do just take small breaks. I think if anything I need to take your advice and just worry about the bigger more obvious leafs I'm probably getting a little to perfectionist about it :P

Damn I knew I should have put a TV in my garage.

Like, most the posts I've read for dealing with trim involves throwing the shit in some nasty 'cannabutter' mixture :) Or making hash from it. ACtually hash would be good to make from trim, but you'd need a fair amount. It's also a fiddly pain in the arse.

Honestly, the trim might taste abit .. leafy, but the effect is exactly the same (for the smaller leaves covered in triches I mean, not just the leafy leaves) so I'd be just sticking it in a 'Last resort' jar or some shit :)

I will certainly - happily - state, that I will happily PAY for trim, long as it's from decent buds, anyday. It's cheaper than the buds they were trimmed from, and you normally get more by weight.

Then again, I dunno whether I'd wanna smoke en ENTIRE OUNCE of trim, but *shrug* given the choice between trim and bong-resin, I think we all know which would be the more popular choice :)

*nod* as long as the leaves you leave (haw), on the buds are coated in trichomes, they're as potent as the bud, who gives a toss if they're 100% leaf-less - that's just asthetics really.

The last ounce I bought, has little leaves here and there, still on the bud. Maybe just cut the fan leaves on one go, then do the next size down leaves, .. iunno really :)

If you have your heart set on showing people your dankydank, in all it's perfection, then you'll have to trim with virgo-precision. But otherwise, I'd try leave some of that nice potent leaf on the bud.

MAYBE, trim ONE crown to perfection, for showing/giving/bragging, then see if you feel like perfecto-trimming more after you've done that one.

Hey, I'm not to good to smoke trim.

Matter of fact I did earlier when I started, I'll agree it taste a little bit more leafy (well thats a surprise) but stiill gets the job done

And yeah of course im just keeping the smaller trich covered ones. I started out by cutting off all the big leaves and now sectioning it off into manageable parts.
