Hey, my recent grow is mango kush. it's week 5 and the trichs are easily 50-70 amber more like 80%, accept 1 of the 6 plants is at about 55% amber.
Has anyone else experienced this strain flowering very quickly, or know of any factors that attribute to strains flowering faster than normal?
I'm having what could be some problems, possibly root rot (tho i am in soil) or general toxicity.. but that shouldn't cause a quicker flower should it?

this is my first grow with these clones... maybe 5 of the 6 are a diff pheno?
as you can tell I am very confused and any help would be appreciated.

Fully developed mature trichs or more like some half-assed falling over trichs that are short and stunted? 80% amber is a lot of amber...

if there clones there are no phenos they are all genetically identical, it is more likely an environmental influence.

how do the buds look? got pics?

that last picture 553 is of the plant that is least finished by the looks of it an the pic of overall plants is was taken monday i think, the rest are fresh.

for about two weeks now i've been seeing slow signs of something maybe p or k tox, but problems came on quickly and I used 1/4-1/2 as much perlite as normal so I'm worried it might be root rot.

One of my experienced friends said if it continues transplant the bad ones into new soil with lots of perlite in the same pots just with the 1 gallon filled in thats missing.

I'm much more concerned with the trichs tho.... if they randomly finished fast maybe thats reason all the leaves got f'd

Tough call. I always do what the trichs say to do... sometimes thats 10 weeks on an 8 week strain and sometimes 7 weeks on a 9. How soon did you start using flower nutes after the switch? You really dont need to start until maybe 4 weeks in. Switching too soon can cause problems with some strains.

I started open sesame a day or two before the switch.. that could have to do with them going thru flower quickly maybe as I added it earlier than schedule says because i've heard from some sources that dosing once before the switch helps get the plant adjusted to flower mode... may just be heresay.
I feel really really stupid for these posts because I'm pretty sure Ive mistaken hair color for trich color and assuming it was the same.. so forget my amber percentages, there's pics.
I was running last of general organics bloom with fox farm additives and around wk3-3.5 switched to FF trio.. it's wk 5 now. I didn't realize how badly FF nutes mess up ph... was using cal/mg molasses and RO h2o too so 4.2-4.3=very ugly... didn't check ph since i switched it up to FF base till yesterday (which was incredibly stupid), been airating the nute solution I was using for 24 hrs now to see if change.. raised .2.. so got some silicate and ph up which for some reason i've never owned.. and put down a casing layer of some dolomite.
I think the ph lockout slowed the bud growth which put me on the too quick of harvest line of thinking (also might've gave hairs that dieing off look when plants are in too long). ph lock also gave so many ugly looking deficiencies so quickly i assumed it was root rot.
LMK if some of the stuff i'm saying doesn't make any sense.. I hate thinking I have some right information, especially when its in practice.

Now that I'm raising my ph from the low 4's to 7-7.5 or something I finally got ph up and protekt silica because I had rhino skin which is the only silica product that's ph'd for hydro and doesn't raise ph, was actually adding to my ph drops.

Searching forum I couldn't find anything on overusing potassium silica to raise ph... i'm trying to use a minimal amount of ph up, as that stuff seems very unnatural but am wondering if compensating with such high doses of silica will damage plants?

the guy at my shop says no, only reason not to just use it for ph up is that it's expensive and he uses it throughout growth till harvest.. but then again how many hydro shop guys have given slightly off information to chain sell products.

finally was able to feed for first time since knowing new nute ph was so off,
had to add 11ml ph up 9 ml protekt to raise 4.3 to 7.1 with 48hrs aeration.
if anyone experienced has any suggestions with the combination that should be used or info on using too much potass silica, responses greatly appreciated.
