how did you hold up during the blackout Brah? I hope you didn't have any girls under lights when it happened? That is just one more reason why I prefer to grow outside. Besides, there is nothing in any shop, or this world for that matter than can beat natural sunlight!

bongsmilieWhat a wake up call!!!
howzit puna........candles and flashlights don't cut it, this batch of BB,SSH,WW,AI were vegging under 23/1 for 36 days when we lost power at 7;00 pm (that was the 12 hours of darkness) I topped last weekend and wanted to let these veg another week. I put them back under 23/1 light again last night.....not sure if the 1- 12 hour night is enough to trigger the photoperiod?????:?:

A generator would be nice for backup and I agree.........nothing like quality SUNLIGHT:bigjoint:.

Could use some advise on trimming back some fan leaves ont he Mango, leave them or cut them?

Did you get my xmas card?:leaf:

wow they look amazing dude.
i would personally not trim the fan leaves.
it causes the plant to use more energy tryin to grow back new leaves when its supposed to be using that engery for bomb buds. just let it grow lol =)
they look great

so is that a seed i see in the bud on the first pic from above
:leaf:Thats what I thought from the time it started to flower........a prominant seedlike Calyx with white hairs, they are very hard and dense, I picked a couple out of the buds................freaking out that they were going to be seeded buds:wall: But each day they appear and then lose its red hairs and pops open with buddness. This is my 3rd time trying to grow Buds and have never grown INDICA.......this Mango is not leaving any hard seeds behind yet?????If it is going to seed, wonder when? maybe this is how some Buds create the bulk?:weed:
This is what I thought were seeds Too.

sorrry if i skipped over this but how old were your babes before you started flowering them?
bongsmilieHey Mauichronic .......The Mango s and Tai were 35 days old when they switched to 12/12 lighting (or in this case nomore 400watt HID inside light) they went outside and when they were 45-50 days old started showing sex.(white hairs)............They have been growing slowly with hardly anysunlight the past few days.:leaf:

That is one of the reasons I want to grow in a greenhouse. When there are super cloudy days on and on I would set up a photocell system that could turn on some HPS backup lights??????Going to look into that............maybe someone has tried already:weed:

:leaf:What a healthy plant, nice work so far, hope someone is caring for her while away.
:weed:I also am thinking about cloning some starts that are still under the 23/1 light, this batch suffered the blackout a few days ago ( hope that 1 day of out of routine did not trigger the photoperiod)
Never tried this before but want to clip some at least one off each of these before they start to preflower and start showing sex????
:weed:Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Budy,

I'm very interested in what you're talking about. But are you aware that from time to time HELCO will turn in a residence to the DEA if these see an abnormal amount of electricity flowing to your house. I've sat and listened to countless stories of growers getting busted courtesy of their electric companies.

Perhaps a set-up here on an empty lot in Puna. Move a semi truck container onto the lot. Rig it up with a portable Honda generator. People driving by would see a container on a lot. No big deal here, plenty of containers around Puna on subdivision lots/acres. A lot of people here build prefab homes shipped in, you guessed it,..containers!!! So it's not uncommon to see tents, containers, tour buses, on lots as temporary housing in Puna.:weed:

:leaf:PunaBud,
This idea sounds very interesting, I recently saw on http://www.urbangrower.com/ how to set up a container grow room. Good stuff..........................I am thinking:idea:.
Thank you for the heads up on monitoring of electricity.:leaf:

BB, what nutes are you using?
:leaf:I am using ALASKA MORBLOOM 0-10-10 for the flowering.....and ALASKA 5-1-1 for vegging.

Trying to follow FDD2blk method for potted plants the best that I can........
The flowering Plants:
Everymorning diluted dose of 0-10-10 and fresh water flush in evening plus 1 dose of 5-1-1 every week.

The vegging plants I am giving 10-0-0 same schedule but no bloombooster.
Plus I mist them every now and then.

Seems to be working for me, but like he says ( the plants will tell you ):weed:
