Man released after arrest for Marijuana and Hash

My cousin was pulled over yesterday while driving his dad's car. The dad is a caregiver.

The cops found a sack of weed and some hash in the car and took him to jail. My uncle called the police department and told them it was his and he forgot he left it in the car. They asked him if he had a card, he said yes and they let my cousin go, no charges!

A little good news about some compassionate police. I believe this was in Manistee.

Tony you're the best assumer I've ever met lol.. Seriously the best. Now if you could actually get your assumptions correct then we could call you a psychic!! That would be way cooler man, keep practicing.

I never stated he was under-age. But you are right, probably not within the law at all. You seem to have an issue with that, do you wish you could've been the one to bust him?

maybe its not perfectly within the law, but they probably didnt want to go to court either. so either way, its a win win situation.

Assumptions or not. The LEGAL patient was NOT in the car, and LEFT his medicine in the car.

If you had a clue about any laws or in fact common sense you could see it was blatent breaking the law for the caregiver not the son.

Sad this site has gotten to the point they let a punk like you be a mod in a state forum that needs so much help with the current situation its in. It's sad here and in Michigan.

technically i am breaking laws. do i like breaking laws? nope. who broke the law? the kid driving? the one not knowing (possibly) there was hash and green in the car, legally put there by his uncle of course. so what law was actually broke in this story? we do not know if the kid knew or not. so we cant assume that. the cops break a law by allowing the kid to walk? maybe, maybe not. the joy for him is all for good karma.

LOL, we do agree the kid should not be held responsible for the mistake the dad should be held responsible. Losing his card for starters since its probably just plastic to him anyway.

I'm not here to make, enforce or interpret laws tony. My point was that the cops had an opportunity to bust someone and instead let them walk.

I've stated before what side I'm on and have absolutely no obligation to explain myself to someone the likes of you who is obviously not on the side of MI medical patients.

Laws are laws, either you are behind them or not. If you are so-so on the law side, then you are still breaking the law sorry it's the way our great country is. If you are going to be a "mod" and (I use the term loosely) in a Lawful Registered Mi User forum then you need to probably not ride the fence on breaking laws. Just saying.

i find it refreshing to hear there are good cops and understanding ones there
No doubt it wasn't the kids fault (so we are told) but the caregiver is another story.

Once again you are assuming.. Please point out where I have interpreted, or backed anyone breaking the law here tony. I posted a story, nothing else.

Of course you are the only one that doesn't appreciate that there are some understanding police out there willing to let someone slide.

Damn, forget your alias, is your last name Schuette?

I am not "assuming" anything, you stated it was good to see someone who broke the law (not your cousin the care giver) and not get any trouble?

Yet you want reformation, and better laws? So a better law would be care givers to leave HASH and a ZIP of WEED in family car for young people to take and drive off with?

Hmm... why did they search the car anyway? Smell of weed? If so didn't your cousin smell it? It doesn't add up and its another "I broke a law" so I am going to spin it to a feel good story. It is NOT and it is WHY the laws are being revised to more strict direct laws and not the relaxed laws we had.

Sorry... bullshit just like you becoming any mod anywhere.

i was once taken outta my car by police. they pulled us over for nothing. searched me, my car everything. my wife was driving. kids in the back seat. we were on our way to a baseball game. i was playing. dressed in my baseball outfit. when they finally released me my wife asked "what did you pull us over for?!" he put his head INTO the car and said (while flicking) that! that was fuzzy dice that he was talking about.

so this guy takes me out of my car, puts my head on the hood for my kids to see, cuffs me then proceeds to search my car. and for what, fuzzy fucking dice?! i never did any form of drug until july this year. this was 8 years ago. i rarely drank then too. so when i hear a cop doing what they just did for his cousin, that makes me smile. no matter what. cuz for no reason at all, they can take your ass in. lame.
