Males And the uses

Im a newbie grower, i just wanted to know if there is ANY use at all from the male plant..
Or.. when you see signs of it being male.. best thing to do is rip it down?

i heard you could make hash with them, but i wouldnt even bother

They contain so little THC they are not worth bothering with.

lol.. yea i used to sell hash untill i started to sell mj.. if there is a way to make hash from the male plants, can somebody post a link to a tutorial or something. Thnx

Males occasionally have potency, contrary to popular belief. If nothing else, they at least make good drying and curing practice so unless you want to take a crack at pollen storage and breeding, you may as well cut 'em down, hang them up and see what you get (check out the Harvesting and Curing forum -- there's a nice, simple tutorial on curing and trust me, after playing around with my males.. a little practice is not a bad idea). I cured a couple male bubblelicious.. shit you not, they have a little buzz, and the taste and smoothness of the smoke is fan-fucking-tastic all by itself. Better than some female schwag I've had on occasion..

You should do this in a room well-removed from your grow -- pollen is designed to get around, and even after you cut a plant, a flower can mature and bloom just on the energy contained in the plant. If one of those males pops in your room, you've got seeds, bro..
