Male plant not foing what it's suppose to do

Took a realy nice female and sprayed C.Silver spray to turn her so I could collect pollen. It started off good with bananas but never swelled up. They then began to shrivel up and open with nothing inside.

I know what I have read to what happens to a plant that's left to continue to grow normally out in nature without being harvested.
MY QUESTION IS THERE ANYONE THAT JUST LET ONE OF THIER PLANTS CONTINUE TO GROW TO TELL ME WHAT TURNED OUT....?.....DID ANY SEEDS SHOW UP?
