Male and Female?

I was doing a blood test today so i thought about plant sex, you know how male and female have different horomones? so I automatically assumed plants have different horomones, so if they do...

wouldn't it be possible to test it before it shows sex? or impossible?

I know, but can't you test the horomones in the plant before it shows it's sex?
