Making well purged wax

Hi all

Im a bit confused atm.

I always purge my oil at shatter temperatures between 90 and 95f. Ill do so until one side stops reacting at low pressure, flip until the same happens. After 4 to 6 days its usually almost done and i might not flip it a couple of times more.

Now once purged like this if i raise the temps to low 100s and even close to 110, it doesnt start buttering up.

Do i have to start purging it at those temps? But then if i do wont consistency of oil harden too soon therefore trapping gas inside?

Thanks

After 4 days of purging and 2 flips the pattie nearly stopped reacting ar around 95. I raised temp (not brusquely) to 120, and nothing happened for a good 12 hours or more, raised it to 140 and success, it started waxing up on me. I wish we had a testing facility to check residuals :(
I really dont know if i should purge as shatter until it seems purged and then raise temps, or after pouring the oil, letting it sit at wax temps until no more gas can come out of the oil unless exposed to low pressure and then start vacuuming?

Id really appreciate some help, just trying to make the best wax i can for myself as i think i can make good shatter that would pass a residual test.

Ill post a pic when its out of there.

Well there is a chunk of it, i dunno.. its still as stable as the shatter was before i raised the temp. I can still crack dabs with my hands, not sticky and breaks like glass. Less taste than the shatter i made from exact same trim and same extraction process (shud have prolly dehydrated material for a few hours tbh..). I think 140F is well high for it to be waxing up... But really nothing was happening around 120 for a long time.

Any input, advice on how to make well purged wax anyone?

Come on im sure someone must have some input on this.
I have had experience like this. Same strain makes likem a wet crumble or clear shatter first it will turn in to shatter the first two days then. After a another day or so in the vaccum chamber it starts to crumble up. I have noticed the shatter usually taste better. Du u think the terps. Are being vacced out?

I purposely tried to turn a (what i hope was a stable) 4 day 2 flip purged shatter into wax.
If your shatter turn into wax after a few days in the oven without you intending is because you either agitated the material too much (either by scraping, muffining several times etc) or the temperature is too high, or there are a lot of other plant based materials in the oil (lipids waxes chlorophyl etc) i could be wrong about this latter...
Shatter tends to taste a lot and smell very little in comparison to waxes, these tend to smell a lot and imo taste less than they smell. I think this is due to the fact that there has been a nucleation alteration of the oil into crystal, be it from increase in temperature or agitation.
Tbh im beggining to think anything other than shatter isnt gonna be the most stable material, the process neeeded to crystalize the oil imo, is gonna take a lot of terpenes out, even after purging just by sitting there,
I could be talking complete shit though bro, hope someone corrects me if i am wrong, all i know is this last wax i tried to make tastes half as much as the shatter from the exact same trim. Plus the shatter looks tons better, glassy shit and it breaks if you blow on it almost.
I dont think ill fuck arond trying to make wax anymore, keep it shatter.
