Making weed beverage using 99% ISO

So far from what I have read about making weed beverage, if I dissolve the THC is a solvent such as ISO then mix that with w/e beverage and if I evaporate the original solvent, I will be left with weed-infused beverage.

I think the procedure will work, and I'm a great fan of RSO/Phoenix tear and make them quite often so:
after I filter the alcohol/weed mix and start to boil off the ISO, I would add the appropriate amount of water (to make drink flavouring instead of an actual beverage).
I use roaster oven instead of a crockpot so I am able to control the temperature much more and I should be able to tell if the ISO evaporating by observing the bubbles, to make sure that I am left only with water w/o ISO.

I think this should work but I never done it so I would appreciate your opinion!

*I've read about making "Green Dragon" but the idea of alcohol is not so attractive, of ANY amount....especially because I use 99% like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/261423707467?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 (would this be safe for this btw? it's safe for RSO for sure)

i guess, if you want to, it seems plausible. personally, i would use high-proof ethanol as it's made for consumption, and traces left in the drink won't be /as/ poisonous.
but, i have read that the cannabis drinks aren't as strong as other methods of oral consumption, and of course, smoking.
maybe also look into using vegetable glycerin and a very tiny amount of coconut oil or something. like ethanol, they're made for consumption, and the glycerin may help disperse the THC through the drink better while giving less weed taste than just a concentrate of cannabinoids.

ingesting isopropyl alcohol is a BAD idea. I do not know if everclear would work like you are looking for. It would make some great punch !

Yea that's a stupid idea

sorry
I'm confused, and interested in real answers to some shit...

I thought you and others used qwiso to make capsules and edibles and shit?

Most of the edibles I see are made with some form of concentrate. I prefer medicated drinks to edibles actually(and also don't like alcohol). Best I've found is the SOS OMG Bold, but there are others that are good, and then some that seem to have this gross paste in them. Comments on this?

Isn't oral consumption of trace solvents is less dangerous than dabbing it?

Anyone know wtf "food grade" solvent extracts are? I know what food grade solvent-less is, but not clear on what "food grade" bho is.

Any good home recipes for good drinkables?

Thanks!

the problem is adding unpurged iso to a fluid will create an azeotrope that will be very tricky to remove. leaving much more than whatever traces may or may not be found in a more traditional extraction

break up your questions man, I'm too high for that..number em at least

Just stick bud / trim (whatever) in a 5 gallon bucket (shred n grind it if you want to make more compact.) Go buy a few handles of your favorite liquor 80 proof and higher is recommended. Dump them all into the bucket, make sure all the plant matter is submerged (put the lid on) and put it someplace for a month or longer. (the longer the better I think, saw on cooking with cannabis show its call alcohol conversion). Then after time has passed, and you forgot you even had the shit, take the lid off, secure a straining device to the top of the bucket, and funnel all the alcohol back into the bottles, or some type of container for storage. Then dispose of the plant matter you are left with, and enjoy your drink. If you do a lot of weed and trim / etc, I would expect this mixture to be very potent, so take it with caution. It is my understanding that drinking converted booze will hit you faster than eating it.

(If any of that was mis-information, I apologize. Please correct any part I may have wrong.)

Oh, I forgot to add that if i were you, I would use the most potent alcohol available. (ex Bacardi 151, 153 grain alcohol, etc.) If nothing like that is available, you can make your own moonshine to convert with. (youtube has plenty of how to's for this)

They are broken up.... Or are blank lines not good enough? Need bullet points do we? Maybe try to be constructive VS just using your big words to try to impress yourself.

Also, granted he's talking about the RSO method, but he is talking about using purged iso wash. So what is the problem?

That can also be done with many other "mediums". That's the "natural" decarb approach I believe they call it. He was asking for something where he doesn't need to consume alcohol.... Check this out: http://www.hightimes.com/read/alcohol-free-cannabis-tincture

If I was talking to anyone else, MAYBE my comments were snarky.

But given I'm talking to you, lmfao, you calling someone else snarky? You just don't like that I call you on your bullshit.

One day your gonna mature enough to realize that no matter how hard you try, you'll never be a different class of person from that which you were born into. Tells us more about your Facebook degrees in chemistry and pharmacology please?

anyway, the original topic

the iso will basically attach to water or soda etc. it's attached in such a way that it is evenly distributed and will only boil away with the other substance. this is called an azeotrope. you won't be able to distill it, it's very difficult to break. it's often seen as a milky fluid when condensation enters an iso extraction.

he is suggesting using another fluid to purge similar to etoh purging butane. but this wont work

is that better?

yes, slower absorption. the who and osha etc base exposure toxicity on time and ppm

I thought you and others used qwiso to make capsules and edibles and shit?

we do... not like this

Most of the edibles I see are made with some form of concentrate. Including drinks, some seem to have this gross paste in them. Comments on this?

from a previous conversation, fits well enough
I have to assume the addition of polar simple sugar knocked out water soluble proteins holding plant pigments in solution, flavonoids tannins chlorophyll etc are typical precipitates. The former precipitate through complexes and polymerization. Chlorophyll would be the (only) green pigment and isn't water soluble but chills out on proteins. I doubt you would have lost any cannabinoids, as they are more the color of tannins ranging gold to amber and would be pretty soluble in the solution, they aren't going to join or be pulled out by anything unlike straight phenols /polyphenols like tannins though..hope that is easy enough to understand
Even with well cured bud there will be a significant amount of stuff pulled with an extraction for that long. Ethanol will strip the trichs completely in about 30 minutes and 10 would be more preferred.

4. No I don't know

5. yes I do have some
