I have a plant that i just cut down and want to use it for tincture. Should i let it dry and cure or just put in oven at 250 for 60 minutes and grind it up and make tincture? I did not know if it would effect strength, i don't care about taste. It is for medication purposes I have pancreatitus and it helps the pain.

No big difference really, if you're in a hurry, oven decarb.
But - and this is just my opinion - if you're not in a hurry , let your pot dry correctly and then freeze it before making the tincture. No need to cure it, won't affect the taste.

Good luck

how long do u keep on freezer b4 u make ur tincture with it?? I'm always up to try nre stuff
Long eough for the weed to freeze...a day. Same for the alcohol, about a day. Freezing/chilling makes it easier to disolve the THC etc., while at the same time it makes it harder to disolve water soluble compounds like chlorophyll.

I used to make alot of the glycerin tincture for patients and I never growund it up though you can and your trim/material should only take a day or two to dry if left out on tray. I would use anywhere from a quarter pound to six ounces of good sugar trim to a gallon of glycerin. Then set your crockpot to low and put your glycerin in, after it starts getting warm put your trim in and set it to warm on the crock pot and dont let your mixture go over 200 degrees while its cooking or it will get burnt. Now I would let miine go for about 14 to 18 hours then turn off and let cool then strain into container.

but do i freeze bud and do i have to put it in oven as well ?
If you're not using alcohol, then no, you do not have to put it in the freezer.

Not sure about this....since you'll be using a crock pot @ 200F the heat will decarb your weed, so you don't have to bake it.

There is a sure fire technique that is so simple for both glycerin or booze. Let you plant matter dry out, take your slow cooker out, put the dry product in the slow cooker add your liquid in until covered, turn on the slow cooker on and go to bed, thats it! The next morning strain and press it with some cheese cloth, at this stage it will be quite thick, so adding distilled water for the glycerin base or adding a liquer of your choice wil thin it t the consinsity you are looking for.

3/4 of a zip will make about a cup to 1 1/2 of some real potent meds.

Good luck
