Making more seeds from fems

Hi,

So lets say i have like 3x Exodus Cheese fems

I want to force hermie one of the fems and then use the pollen to pollinate the other 2 fems to make more seeds

By doing this i get a whole wack of Exodus cheese fem seeds?
or am i wrong? can this be done? can i cross same strain together?

i know you can do this by crossing different strains with each other - but how about the same strain?

Yes you can do this, they call it an inbred line. And they call the sex change “reversing” the pros use silver thiosulphate, you can buy a “feminized seed kit” off eBay

I followed the simple to follow advice on this thread by @Budzbuddha and ended up making a female plant turn male, collected the resulting pollen and then pollinated two other plants and got hundreds of seeds.

Learned about this the other day. It's too good. Almost like cheating. You guys recommend a specific brand of "silver thiosulphate"? Don't even know if I can find it in my country. Any european websites selling it?

I use colloidal silver (just feel more comfortable with it and the first time I was able to make it with stuff around the house pretty much) and if u can't get thiosulphate you may want to check it out.

I personally would at the minimum run the three seeds and take a bunch of clones from each and see if any of them are even worth the effort of making seeds with and if not just run clones.

i have only ever reversed cuts that I felt were really worth it. But I suppose if u need a bunch of seeds for an outdoor project or something this would make sense

Just use some collodial silver. Soak a branch or cola with it for the first 2 weeks of flowering and it should produce pollen sacks, than collect the pollen and use it on any female you wish to seed. Female pollen will give you fem seeds. Make sure you don't get the silver on any part of the plant you are going to smoke.

if im not mistaken... dont smoke a plant that had any colloidal silver sprayed on it at all?
the plant that had colloidal sprayed on it should be thrown out like an old crusty sock... after you get its sweet sweet pollens of course... LOL
or am i wrong?

Does this also work with Autoflowers ? or is the process different ?

Everything I have read says it's perfectly fine to smoke the treated plant depending on how you did it. If you or example sprayed a lower branch and were careful with the application the rest of the plant should be fine as it has not been in contact with the spray. I don't believe the silver is mobile or spraying one branch would cause the whole plant to turn but it doesn't, only targeted areas produce pollen sacks. At least that is my understanding.

Yes it works with Auto's and there is no change in the process

Do the genetics suffer or the overall development of the plant or is it like you would buy seeds from the vendor. (talking about inbreeding)

It's how many make fem seeds so should not hurt anything.

Nah u just have to be careful where you're spraying. Anything not sprayed is g2g

They are common chemicals so any reputable dealer, there’s eve some on Etsy, there’s even space buckets on Etsy!
