i have great luck with clones 98% average survival weather i use cloning additives or plain water dont know just real lucky lol. i take a hand full or a bunch i should say cut them in small chunks and blend them in blender with a lil water ....yes its loud as hell ....i then put in a 5 gallon bucket add lots of water and let sit 48 hours then use for clones the left over gets coverd and i use to water big plants till its gone .i keep about a cup in a jar sealed in fridge last about 2 months but have it as long as 4 months....also i squeeze the thems after they come outta the blender just to get it all and u gotta strain it seems to work good but like i said im lucky with clones ...i use hot tap water i dont boil and then i let sit for 2 days ....when i do clones i soak my cubes in it and then just dip clone i never let clone sit for over a minute.....ps i use 1/2 bucket of willow total in 5 gallon bucket and add water to the top ....i blend it cause i want all the hormone and thats also why i sqeeze it

I'd like to see a 2nd person do this successfully. I've got a massive willow on the propery and I trim the lower branches anyway so I can mow underneath. Sure just buying the gel is easy but I always like to know how to make what I need in case of Rapture/Red Dawn/Zombie Apocalypse.

Aspirin is / was made with willow trees. The easiest home made cloning gel you can make , and it works, is a few tbs of honey with aspirin ground up and mixed in. I used a mortar and pestle, grind up 20 aspirin (81mg) and add to a few tbs of honey. Cheap and works. I use non coated aspirin if I can find but coated work as well.

Actually for the people saying that they don't have any willow trees close. The Poplar trees also contain the same amounts of that same chemical. I only know this because I watched a thing on natural medicines and it said that willows and poplar trees have the same ingredient as aspirin. And poplar trees grow everywhere around here. So not only making a tea out of the bark of either of these trees can help root plants but also cure your headache or ease your pain. :)
