make a room with foil faced foam board?

hey, SWIM was thinking about making a room instead of buying a premade tent. This was he can make it how ever shape and size he wants. SWIM has some foam board insulation with the reflective foil on one side of it. Here is a picture http://www.drenergysaver.com/images/insulation/basement-insulation.jpg

Would this foil be reflective enough or would It be better to put up some foil you get at a garden store? Also, in a certain marajuana grow book it says that white walls are actually the best reflective surface you can have because foil reflects the light unevenly. Is this true? Would any noticable difference be seen between the two in say a 4' by 4' by 6' room?

Nest question is, would there be any additional problems with the room if SWIM were to use the reflective foam board? Would the heat be alot high inside? would you need extra ventilation? less ventilation? Does the thin walls of the tents you buy (secret jarden) help keep the inside cool or does it really not make much of a diff due to the air exchanging by exhaust anyway?

What do you all think? opinions wanted. Any ideas? THANKS

btw SWIM=someone who isnt me

I plan on using foam board this winter. My only concern is off gassing but unless I hear about it being a problem, it's a go. The best is polyisosyanurate but it's very expensive. I built r-20 garage doors with them once. You can get cheap boarding at Home Despot in different thicknesses and they can be very structural. I will use the thinnest wood panels glued to the foam boards for the outside and each side will be removable for storage. Hinges work well for this purpose. And yes, the insulation makes a big difference.

I have not used foil foam board, but I use the rolls of what looks like foil covered bubble wrap. I used it to cover the walls for reflecting light. It is easy to work with and goes up with a staple gun. Never had any "hot spots" from it being foil. The foam board should work fine, but it will be a heavy insulator and could increase heat issues.

The book is right, flat white walls reflect beter than foil. I used to use foil and changed to white walls and noticed the difference imediately.

Works well..easy to cut holes and if you want it elsewhere..glue it with liquid nails for foam. Use glue to install walls. I use it ecause I needed a winter room.

If the white side faces in it will help keep heat out. If the foil faces in it will keep more heat in. White is great for reflecting visible light but the mylar side reflects more IR heat.

The ones at lowes are reasonably priced. Strap them together with duct tape they work great.

What is "IR heat"? inferred heat? Do bitches need this and is it good for them? thanks
