Major help needed

I am about to pull out my teeth if I can not figure this out. I have a drain and fill setup, 150watt hps, 5.8-5.9ph level, using distilled water with advanced nutri, feeding 3X while lights on. She is also in flowering for 5 wks so I do not know what I can spray. She looked beautiful until about a week ago. The tips started turning brown on the upper fan leaves. Then the lower leaves started to get brown tips and curl under as well. I did adjust the feeding because I thought I was over fertilizing. Now brown spots are appearing on some of the leaves. I also just noticed that the roots that are towards the outside of the res have white fungus. I do not know what to do for this either. Its not a lot but I know that it can spread quickly so I need advice. I attached a few pictures. Please help, I usually get good advice from forums here and I hope this time is the same I do not know what else to do.

Do you have just HPS lights? If so, the plants aren't getting anything from the blue spectrum. They do tend to yellow without any blue spectrum light. When I look at the spots on Jumpins plants, I think mites because they draw the nutrients out of the plants resulting in spotting, yours don't really look like that.

hey there. :-P Your inbox if full. Imnot using my hps right now. Im still vegging it with cfl's they were both blue spec, then one blew out and now it is red and blue spec.

Edit: I think I was under fertilizing them, but only time will tell I guess

I looked under microscope for mites and none. That is what I first thought actually when I saw the spots the first time. Any idea about the fungus on the roots? I was going to empty and clean out the res and add some peroxide. I was not sure when I add the peroxide if I should add nutrients or just run it with the diluted peroxide for a day or two. I did just check the ppm and on my TDS3 it read 124. Im confused on reading this, does it mean 1240 or is it acutally 124. If so maybe I just need to add more bloom nutri to the res. I need help.

Some of the marks look like feed water has hit the leaves

Could be cal/mag or a nute issue if the oldest leaves yellow 1st from the bottom of the plant up it can mean no enough nutes or it can mean no enough light

are you sure that stuff is fungus ? looks a bit like cal residue in the pics ?

IMHO the first pics looks like thrip damage (thrips=type of pest) they hide well and cause spots that look just like those, maybe have another look for pests. I had them and never saw ONE until they had begun a violent attack. As for your leaf/root issue it's very hard to pinpoint from a helpers view, we can stab at it but be way off, you know the most. Do you use any root health products? Are the roots getting a sufficient amount of dissolved oxygen? There are so many aspects of this ecosystem you are creating with a grow space. I haven't seen this issue myself and I refuse to start guessing things. Wish I could help more man. GL!

I will take another look for tiny bugs. Do they leave anything behind, like webs or shit or anything? The roots are laying open in a large resevior that gets flooded when feeding. I did put a few hydroton balls under the roots to lift them to help the water drain out from them. I have been noticing if i lift slightly up on the plant water does run out from the roots so im sure it is collecting somewhere. Would a really weak dilution of peroxide hurt? Like 2mls per gallon I was thinking?

All of the above wrong. jumpin- its nute burn and that ppm is prob 1240, too high try about 900. bde- its nute burn same thing bro your overshooting with the nutes.

Also yes the roots are a bit brown arnt they? the 3% grade peroxide is too weak you need 30% at about 750:1, 50% grade at 1000:1 .

thanks for the help. im going to empty the res and start with a half strength and see how it goes. Where can you pick up 30%? I have never looked in stores for peroxide strengths

They sell food grade in 30% powder or liquid a lot of the plant grade you can buy is around 8% to save people burning their eyes out by mistake lol

Using peroxide works but I find a zyme and something like great white will do more good then peroxide but they cost more and are not as "clean" as your adding culture to your res but that means you can get tons more out of the dead roots and sugars you feed, but if your changing res a lot then peroxide or zyme is a good bet

Also silicate helps prevent pest`s as it makes your plants harder also works as a pretty good ph up.

thanks for the info. I was actually looking into Great White when I was reordering my nutrients. I will look into the silicate for the next grow and see how it goes. Last harvest I had white mold and that was a killer. It took like half of the weight but I still used it in baking.
I did just notice that the leaves are cupping now. The edges are curling under so I think im going to flush out everything and hope for the best.
