Mainlining question

Hello RIU! I have a pretty lady that I have mainlined for 8 colas. I just got her tops even and I know nugbuckets says to wait till she is 20 inches above dirt but I was wondering if there would be any negative effects if I flipped her to flower much sooner (like less than 10 inches above dirt)? I want to do this for two reasons:
I only have a 250 watt HPS so there is only good light penetration for about 12 inches and I have limited height in my cabinet (4 feet total). Do any of you have experience with this? This is my first mainlining attempt. She's Skunk #11 and been vegging for 9 weeks.

smaller yield and smaller buds. I'd wait til its at least 30 inches tall. That 20 inches recommendation didn't work for me. I never got bigger yields with main lining. Only all big buds. Lst and scrog gets the biggest yields.

I'm afraid I would run out of height if I waited till she was that tall. That is good to know though. Next time maybe I can just do some LST. I think I have to flip her this weekend at the latest.

if height is an issue then that's a different story altogether. It depends on how much stretch there is. I have a few strains that will triple in size when they go into flower. I roughly veg til they're 30-36 inches tall. I do 10 gals and go as big as I can.
