High everyone! Before i get into it settle down i don't mean the kind of porn that probably brought you to this thread, i mean the kinda porn showing your
Mainlined/Manifolded beauties. Ive recently become fascinated with this training method and plan on trying it on my next grow. I guess the point of this thread is to get ideas of how I'm gonna train, materials I'll need, etc... but this is also a chance to see any unique training anyone might have done kinda like how the people shape bonsai trees. So let me see what the RIU community has!

I got caught up in iPerculate's grow journal and found iPerculate's photos a nice guide which encouraged me to run my own mainline grow in a similiar way. Great fun.

My only mainline grow, so far, was me experimenting. Mostly I was inspired to grow a crop that took less trimming. I don't really like trimming. Fewer, bigger buds sounded nice. My grow was nothing to write home about; it was fun and made me a happy camper though!

Your experimentation looks like it turned out well. Yeah the trimming is kinda tedious that's part of the reason i wanna mainline, looks like you got a nice return off that grow, what was the final weigh in?

I remember because my scale said 88 grams. At the time it was a personal best, first time breaking the 3 ounce barrier. Marked the whole moment with a bong hit.

Nice!! I'm probably gonna do a run of like 6 plants and shoot for at least 2oz per plant.

I did a mainline grow last year....turned out good but I won't do it again because of the extra time required.

Those are some pretty ladies, how much did they yield? What caused the extra time? I plan on doing 8 colas on each and vegging for 4 weeks and from what I've learned i should be able to have all topping and lst done by then.

Mainlining does take more time because you have to cut the plant back and make that hub. You lose a few weeks of veg. However with a proper veg time you yield more.
For people who are doing perpetual grows and they have a tight window to work with...I wouldn't recommend mainlining. However for outdoors (on a smaller scale) they do awesome. I yielded about 4 1/2 pounds (dry weight) per plant.

I appreciate your two cents, it's pretty much the reason i created this thread. Guess I'll see how it goes when i try for myself i do plan on a perpetual grow at some point but right now time isn't an issue with me. Think the o.c.d. in me is what draws me to mainlining... symmetry is a beautiful thing.

Labeled Jack Herer from seedsman, so who knows. Didn't look like Jack to me, but good smoke. This thread is about 2 wks late for me. Been strictlyly mainlining for the last 12 yrs. Had a ton of mainline porn, but just lost my phone and no back up. Im trying to recover what I can from the forums and Facebook. I'll post more here when I find em.
