Main stock snapped half way down!!!

Hey guys. This is my second outdoor grow in the california sun. Everythin goin good untill I got a little rough while tying one of my plants down. It ended up snapping about a 1/3 of the way down from the top. I crutched it with a small piece of bamboo and wire but it wouldn't heal itself. Instead, it has healed on the inside of both sides of the cut, as 2 almost seperate plants, both still looking very healthy and leaving just enough still connected to bring water and nutes to the top half. My question for you all is can I cut off that top part completely since it will never be strong enough to support bud weight, and root it and replant is as its own plant? I figure if it's possible I'll need some cloning root solution or something but don't know how to prop it up while it roots? Is this even possible? Any advice helps, thanks.

ya use cloning gel (i use clonex) like at least an inch up the stalk. if you have the money to get some great white it would be a good idea to dip it into it after dipping it rooting gel (although you wouldnt want to use clonex before great white, use dutch master replicator). report back and let us know if it lives. and prop it up with a nice long piece of bamboo. i'd put the bamboo at least 4 inches in the ground
