Main-lining clones

Want to see what everyones thoughts are on how to train clones ?
Im only new to the clone scene and the way i grow my crops from seeds is i like to mainline and get a nice set of 8 colas, should i do the same to my clones ? Ive heard it takes longer and i dont want to put to much stress on them especially without a good root system.

Go slow and go gentle. Common sense will guide you.

once they are rooted do what ever you want .

Can you mainline with alternate nodes? I think not. Of late I have been topping and LSTing the whole plant and that has been giving me 3-5 main colas.

Ive seen it done by pinching the domininant cola (as if you were supercropping) to divert energy into the weaker one and let it catch up, doesnt look the best but does what it has to to get that first main hub
