Main lining clones and clone training techniques

Wantto see what everyones thoughts are on how to train clones ?
Im only new to the clone scene and the way i grow my crops from seeds is i like to mainline and get a nice set of 8 colas, should i do the same to my clones ? Ive heard it takes longer and i dont want to put to much stress on them especially without a good root system.

Yea they don't mainline well with staggered nodes IMO. I usually top above the4th node then come in later and take the first 2 nodes for clones, leaving me 3 and 4 to top once more for 8 colas...

With staggered nodes what would the best training method be ? Or should i not use them at all?

Well "best" is pretty hard to nail down, I'm still looking myself lol.. I think the lowest stress would be to gently bend the main (lst), but I generally top and train I guess just because I like the final shape better.
