Hello Roll it up, nice to be back. I keep having trouble in my garden and I was hoping someone could confirm what I beleive to be a magnesium deficiency. I've had great luck with people helping on here before, so I trust I will again. I use pro-mix cc, my conditions are near perfect, co2 burner, RO water emerald harvest with photo synthesis plus, silica, and calmg. Nm if it is in fact magnesium, should I put Epsom salt with the calmg? Thank you all for your help.

You're over feeding. Too much silica will cause those dried up edges on the leaves and some of the other issues you're having. Why are you using it?
we use it as a ph up instead of ph up. We hardly ever use it at full strength of 5ml/gallon. We also only use it when we water. We feed, water, feed and our ec never goes above 2.0. Do you still think I'm overfeeding?

If you're already feeding calmag at full strength I doubt your issues are caused from a deficiency. More than likely too much stuff has built up in the soil. You don't need much silica and if you're using it to pH up your solution you have likely used too much. Also some of those plants look like they need to be watered. You could be letting the medium get too dry before waterings and your plants won't like that.

We run about 6.4 ph. We tested it last night, ran 6.4 ph water through and it came out 6.2. Ex started at 1.5 and came out 2.0
First your running coco. U might want to get Hanna direct media ph tester connects to Iphone.
Just a lot easier to get you ph right in coco.

If ec started at 1.5. And run off came out higher 2.0. Your probably locked out.

Flush it. With RO water ph correctly. I would prob cut the nutrients in half.

Are you doing the alternate nut. Wait till top dry the RO water. Wait till top dry nut. Method?

It's easier to fix nut deficiency. Then nutrient burn. I tend to use lower then what the bottle calls for.

If you got a deficiency. You can foliar feed 1/4 strength with a wetting agent I like Dutch master penetrator. And it it takes care of it quickly.

Am I not using enough? I run it full strength at 5ml/gal
In my style, I normally start my magnesium at 6.5 ml/gal but with fast growing and heavy feeding strain, I would up my magnesium to 10ml/gal and check my sulfur level as well. Stop the yellowing of the bottom leaves. Magnesium is a mobile element, meaning if it is lacking, it would move from the oldest leaves to newer growth or to where it is needed.

Also, it seems, you have a slight phosphorus deficiency as well.

My vote is underfeeding for the strain your growing.

Looking like toxic salts buildup. Silica will add to it but not cause it. Definite signs of nute burn and if nute levels are kept that high a crispy crop is guaranteed.

As much as I hate flushing and rarely have had to do it, you should. Put at least one full volume of water through the pots to leach out some of the nutes while not all.

Add some sugar the next you water. It’ll act like a shot of adrenaline for the plant. Really livens them up.
Regular sugar isn't much good. Unsulfured blackstrap molasses is what most use to feed the good bacteria and fungi in their soil/soilless grows. Been feeding it to my plants and not seeing anything to write home about but I likely don't have a healthy micro-herd in the pots to use the molasses and help the plants. Still growing nice tho.

The plants produce their own sugars with the help of good lighting and CO2.
