made a huge mistake...

I bought some grow stuff off craigslist, used a fake email, etc etc.

I bought some gear, then yesterday he emails that fake email & starts to blackmail me if I don't give up more money hes going to turn me in for growing-etc.

He said he knows where I live / my name, but yet I was very safe when I did the drop. I met in a crowded parking lot, walked over 3 blocks, after leaving I drove 25miles and went to a sushi resturant in case I had tail I wanted to shake it...I then went back to work for 8 hours then drove home....

What do I do? Kill the seeds and pull the operation for a few months or shake it off.

I wouldn't worry unless you told him what it was for nothing wrong with buying grow gear could be growing anything

We emailed back and forth, yes....I know made a very big mistake I feel I walked right into that.

hell no go down to the dollar tree get a bunch of vegetable shit some flower stuff set it up and send him a pic with a wink fface say man don't turn me in ill give u half my crop with a nice picture of some pretty roses nothing illegal about being an agricultural enthusiast

He told me strains to use that work best, but again all he had was my old phone # since then I changed it, and doesnt have my new # and also have a burner email too---wasnt sure what I should do.

I love these operational security questions. Does he in fact know your name address and told you what they were?

I dont think he knows either--I wasnt going to post this till he emailed me and said my first name and said " lets talk " and it freaked me out enough, but nothing is linked to my current address so not possible he knows where I live.

But I have over 8 cameras at my house, will turn the wifi on the system so i will watch now from my office.

No didnt skimp, but again I just started to do the seeds--figured I'll keep a close eye on him....what can he really do with out pulling the red flag on his self.

fuck this guy, if someone was trying to pull that shit, id fucking meet right back up with him and give him da business if you know what i mean. Hes basically threatening you. He sounds like sum punk whos tryna scare you. Dont fall for it, im sure nothing will come out of this situation.

I'm on lock down mode now, calling my CS department for the cameras at my house so now I will just watch these with a close eye when I'm at work.

Why are you making a definitive statement(s) here that you do not believe?

If you gave me an old phone number (recent within 6-12 months), there's a good chance I could find out info on you unless it was a unregistered crack fone.

So, at this point you either say fuck-it, he doesn't know, and it's a scam and forget the whole thing, or you need to establish if he does in fact know personal info on you. Otherwise, you're running confusing "what if" scenarios to no good end. You can't intelligently take the next step(s) without this knowledge.

I like the "doing the drop" and "checking for a tail" parts.

Tell him this:
"All you have is info from the internet with no real name or address...
it is not any more illegal for me to BUY the equipment than it is for YOU to SELL it to me then BLACKMAIL me over it...

Post on Craigslist what he's doing- I'm sure that you aren't the 1st-- make sure you are the last!

That guy is full of shit dude, he's just trying to screw you out of some more cash. Don't feel bad about buying equipment on CL, it's the first place I look for my equipment because there are so many people who try to grow once, then give up and sell shit for cheap. This guy is just like that, he probably tried and failed at growing and now he's bent be cause someone who actually can get what he wanted out of his equipment is going to, of course he's gonna be jealous man! But at this point, there is nothing he can do from a legal stand point. The thing that he doesn't quite understand is that he SOLD the equipment to you. Did you tell him what you would use the equipment for or did you just buy it and leave? From the sounds of it he was the only one talking about growing, he's the one that sold you the equipment and talked to you about growing, you were just there purchasing something and that's not at all illegal.

Honestly, I would be more angry than scared in this situation. What you do is you email his bitch ass back asking how much money he wants. When he tells you set up a discreet meeting place to give him his "money". Then you meet up with him and pay him back however much he wants, but tenfold, and in the form of a very brutal ass kicking. If that douche wants a thousand then give him ten thousand in medical fees. Personally, I feel like you don't have anything to worry about considering your own safety or well being. The only thing you need to decide is whether you want to destroy this douche or not, if he emailed me like this I guarantee that would not be the end of it. Best of luck to you my man, and don't feel like you did anything wrong by buying stuff on Craigslist. Buying grow equipment is not illegal nor has it ever been, you have just as much to worry about here as you do with cops arresting you when you walk out of a hydro store.
