Lux vs PAR meter

hey guys, so I’m wondering about using a lux vs PAR meter.

I read a while back that there’s is some conversion for CFL/ fluorescent light when using lux, but that it doesn’t work with the blue/redLEDs.

What I’m wondering is, would a 3500k CREE COB be able to do this type of conversion, since the colour temperature is similar? Debating wether the cost is worth it, but if I could save $300 on a PAR meter, that would be awesome

I thought you can only convert from cfl or fluorescent, and not LED.

Also, is the free cob considered the same as fluorescent or led? I know colour temp is closer to cfl/fluorescent.
